Don't look now, but the Lakers are about to win their first game

And that's the thing about it - I think a lot of fans have forgotten that when Phil Jackson joined the Lakers - Kobe and Shaq were not exactly seasoned veterans. They were young and raw talent with zero titles. Phil brought in Ron Harper, Horris Grant win aging experience to be their leaders. I look to see Metta World Nutcase to be an assistant coach for the Lakers when he retiresProbably why they got rid of him.
Seriously though, they were talking about this on KLAC today. Sounds like Brown just hasn't really panned out and wasn't going to be part of what Luke wants to do. Better to cut him loose and see if he can catch on with another team that may have use for him.
As for keeping MWP...he has proven to be good veteran presence in helping with the development of the youngsters. So, while he won't play any more than Brown would have, at least he contributes his knowledge and experience.
Don't look now, but the Lakers are about to win their last game
One hell of a way to start the seasonYEA BABY! We take it 120, Rockets, 114. This is definitely change! The era of Luuukkkeee is on!
I just corrected it - thank youSo we're going 1-81?
Sorry old man needs his rest lol. If I make it to 11, something is wrong.Worth staying up past 1AM for on the east coast!!
I'm relatively young and most times I have to skip halftime and the 3rd quarter to make it past these Laker games being in the central time zoneSorry old man needs his rest lol. If I make it to 11, something is wrong.
Nice instruction by Deng on Russell who screwed up. With Metta and Deng, Luke has some nice player/coaches for the young guys.
I agree. They will be fun to watch and see grow. They looked like they were having fun unlike last year.Really liked what I saw the other night. As I've been saying, this team is going to be fun to watch. I don't think they'll win a lot of games (30-35 is their ceiling), but I think they will be more competitive and a lot more fun to watch.
