This team is too good to be a bottom 5 team. Might be the 8th seed in the west

Looks like Wesley Johnson is coming back too now. $1m for one year contract.

If it happens, I'm good with it. He's young and athletic, showed flashes of promise last year. Plus, the Lakers need an SF. Worst case, he sits at the end of the bench. Gotta have at least 13 on the roster.

Read this morning that the Lakers are bringing back Kelly on a 2 year deal.

Yea I saw that too TJF12. The only peeps that won't be back from last year are Gasol, Meeks, Bazemore, Farmar, and Kaman and of course Don'tknowi. I like the new additions and I think we will do better than most people anticipate with B. Scott at the healm.

Minimum deals for Johnson and Henry. I think they are using some of the $2.7 room exception for Kelly. Marshall cut.

That's 13 on the roster. Two more roster spots available. I think they need another ball-handling guard. No one really impressed me in summer league.

Johnson could be a very good player if he would just crank his motor up. He has sick length and athleticism. He's so passive though. He doesn't attack the rim strong even though he should be dunking on people. If only he had Randle's motor.

Assuming Byron is the new coach, I hope he gives Johnson a swift kick to get him going. I agree that with his length and athleticism, he could really be good.

Also agree that he should be going to the rim looking to embarrass people. He tried to just lay it in and ended missing too many times last year when going for the dunk may have resulted in getting free throws or an "and 1".

Anyone else see what Inimical posted about Dwight's reaction to Parsons going to Dallas? Are there any Lakers fans left who still wish he's have stayed?

Comparing the way that the Lakers pitched Dwight vs. how they pitched 'Melo, I'm beginning to think the FO didn't really want him back and just went through the motions with him.

Yea I saw that TJF12. I think Howard has used up his "crying wolf" supply and everyone pretty much knows this guy is bad news.

Yeah and there are also starting to be leaks that other players simply don't like the guy. Remember when he was one of the most popular players in the league? Starting to seem like a looooong time ago.

I think they wanted him back, but I was not a Dwight fan. I am glade he is gone. I wish we had Parsons, he is a winner. Dwight will never win a title. He can't blame Kobe now.

Did he honestly say he was the best big man in the league?

Last time I checked Noah beat him to All-NBA First Team honors!

I think Clarkson has looked great. I think one of the few bright things we can do this season is to try to develop him. I also think he can be a true PG.
