Vanasco, Ragans, Thompson and Walker plus whoever we need to add from the trade deadline acquisitions.

I really hope we hang onto Yonny Hernandez. I think he’s sneaky under rated valuable.
As a lead off hitter with a .350+ OBP with speed who steals bases I really think he could be a valuable part of the team.
Even the 2nd-4th time through the line up he could bunt or just rely on him to reach base through a single or walk.
He could be a guy who scores 80 runs a year with the right guys behind him.

Josh Smith was drafted in 2019 I don’t think he needs to be added
Hauver was drafted in 2020 he doesn’t have to be added either
Duran does though
And I would add Duran. It’s unfortunate but he was signed early on. Seems to be pacing the time line well though. Only 22 years old. Should probably be at AA mid year next year then MLB mid year 2023 at 24 years old in a utility role then maybe more at age 25

They didn't need to put Dorow on. He was a Covid replacement. He is still yet to be added.

We have some minor league talent but as your system gets better other teams will pickup your castoffs
Remember us losing Herrera to the Phillies which I thought was a mistake but guess it was a spillover consequence of a good farm. Plus other players such as Cruz and Wisdom are on different time cycles.
To me we need to make sure we get as many test runs especially with those non rostered players subject to rule 5 this final month.
Yup we may be surprised and even critical of some players released while keeping unproven yet with higher ceilings. Think Peters is a prime example of a potential keep

That’s how JD improved our talent level for a season or 2. Leeching off / tradimy with the rays and picking off their excess players who were good, but the rays had no spot for them.
