He's not a troll... he knows his basketball real well.

But I think it's fair to say he has a glass is half empty kind of mindset... as a sports fan, at least.

Celtics fan who said Ainge hasn't done anything since the 2000s, IMO, doesn't know his basketball real well.

I tried giving you the benefit of the doubt. I asked you a ton of fair questions and you can't answer any of them.

In other words, you proved me right.

I answered all of them. You are just ignoring them because you want to.

It's personal to you now. Which is pretty sad and pathetic.

Think of it like an emotional outburst.

Cavs add premium asset in Brooklyn pick
Based on projections via our Summer Forecast, the Cavaliers will land the No. 2 pick from the Nets in next year's draft. Picking there, Cleveland could take a star freshman from Duke with the talent to be the top pick.

IT was pretty easy to shut down in the playoffs when he was the lone major scoring threat on his team.

When he's just 1 of a few major scoring threats... should be a different story.

IT outplaying Kyrie in the ECF would make this look like an all time awful trade

The cavs F.O is shit. They'll probably pick Anthony Bennett again!

Read the article.

Danny won big a few times. and lost most of the time.

Getting Horford and IT were big, and getting Brad to land GH was huge.

His reputation is greater than the reality at this point.

one thing i know for a fact

the game will be easier for Isiah Thomas- playing with LeBron and shooters like Korver, Smith, Love, Crowder etc.

the game will be harder for Kyrie leaving LeBron- and going to a team with much less spacing.

Yeah, spare me. Every year we hear "next years draft is loaded, next year, next year, next year"

The 2014 draft was supposed to be the best draft in decades.

Then Okafor was supposed to be the jewel of the 2015 draft.

Then Ingram and Simmons were supposed to be the bosses of 2016.

Yawn.

Always next year, next year, next year is the year, next year.

I'm happy with Brown and Tatum.

@The Q you responded to everything, right? where was your response here?

Lost most of the time, LOL.

Second time I'll ask you. What trades of significance has he lost? You just told me you answered everything. Here's the second time I'll ask. What trades are these? You must said "most of the time"

Ainge has done about 50 trades the past 5 years. Should be easy for you.

I mean, it will be tough for a troll to do. But since you're all honest and stuff, this should be easy. What trades are you referring to?

And for as magical as ITs ability is to score near the bucket, he's not Kyrie.

As quick as IT is. He's not Kyrie.

As good a ball handler as IT is. He's not Kyrie.

You can go up and down the stat sheet. In ITs career year last season on a team otherwise devoid of scoring talent, his stats are still inferior to Irving who was the second fiddle on a team with 3 offensive studs.

I would love to hear just one thing of significance that Thomas does better than Irving.

Q, you answered everything, right?

The Cavaliers just pulled off the impossible. They had tried to move Kyrie Irving for more than a month, but had been unable to find a viable trade partner for their unhappy point guard because they wanted to accomplish two contradictory goals. On one hand, they needed elite talent in return for Kyrie to have any chance of convincing LeBron James to stay past this season. On the other, they had to protect themselves if LeBron left by getting young pieces they could rebuild around. Trading an All-Star and getting better in the short and long term isn’t easy. Just look at how little the Pacers received for Paul George. And then Tuesday happened. The Cavs got everything they wanted from the Celtics: an All-Star (Isaiah Thomas), a defensive-minded rotation player (Jae Crowder), and two intriguing future pieces in Ante Zizic and the Nets’ unprotected first-rounder in 2018. They might have made this trade even if Kyrie didn’t want out.

Cleveland can plug Thomas into Irving’s role without missing a beat. He was a better version of Kyrie last year, at least in the regular season. They are both ball-dominant point guards who can score at will but struggle on defense. The difference is Thomas scored more often and more efficiently, despite playing with significantly worse teammates:

Defenses sold out to stop Thomas, double-teaming and shadowing him all over the court, knowing guys like Avery Bradley, Marcus Smart, Al Horford, and Crowder couldn’t consistently punish them when left open. Thomas had a prime Allen Iverson season, but better, carrying a team full of role players to the no. 1 seed in the East. The Celtics were tied with the Warriors for the best offensive rating in the NBA (113.6) when Thomas was in, and they were dead last (99.0) when he was out. It was the exact opposite of the situation in Cleveland, where Kyrie got to play off one of the best players of all time.

The East is complete shit. BKN could be better than expected relatively speaking. The Cavs should flip the hell out of that pick, try to beat GS now(even though they wont) and kiss Lebron's ass goodbye.

You say that Danny is a disaster and is getting by on what he did in the 2000's.

Yet, you're complaining about getting rid of

Thomas

Crowder

Brooklyn pick

Who were all assets that were acquired well after the 2000s. via trade... by the same guy that you just said hasn't done anything since the 2000s. (troll alert 1)

He stole Thomas. Stole Crowder. Stole the Brooklyn picks. Those same assets you're crying about losing were stolen by the same GM who you're saying hasn't done shit. (troll alert 2)

Turned two Brooklyn picks into two players that everyone I know of is over the moon about. You're the first and only person I've ever seen to shit on them (troll alert 3)

Finally, and my personal favorite? 3 seasons ago the Celtics were one of the 5 worst teams in the NBA. Today they're one of the five best. Ainge has built a team that is now a destination for free agents when it has, literally, ever been in the past. Has a nucleus of young talent beyond Hayward/Horford/Irving. The best young coach the NBA has seen in a long time. And outside of the scope of your opinion? Is considered by many now to be the favorites to come out of the east. (troll alert 4)

So, either you're dumb as fuck. Or you're trolling. I gave you the benefit of the doubt.

I answered that one and some of those others you didn't quote or tag me.

Yes draft classes aren't precise, but you're talking about the opportunity, all those top guys are clearly ahead of Tatum right now. Could they drop? Sure. But I'll take that chance for such a superior level of talent.

Q, you answered everything, right?

You didn't quote me on this, and i also said Irving was an upgrade on IT. so not sure what your point it. But the stats show the totality of the difference is not that large. And certainly not worth premium assets.
