Surprised me! I knew it made sense for Boston, but surprised Cleveland did it. Best offer I suppose.

Tatum isn't in the same class as the top 5 players in the 2018 draft.

Yeah, spare me. Every year we hear "next years draft is loaded, next year, next year, next year"

The 2014 draft was supposed to be the best draft in decades.

Then Okafor was supposed to be the jewel of the 2015 draft.

Then Ingram and Simmons were supposed to be the bosses of 2016.

Yawn.

Always next year, next year, next year is the year, next year.

I'm happy with Brown and Tatum.

And Kyrie is gone in 2 years ( you can't just assume he's going to stay when evaluating a deal, especially when you look at it logically since he wanted to leave CLE to be "the man" and he won't be the man in Boston either), and Horford is already in his decline, GH is going to be 30.

They need those chances to find the superstar.

Kyrie is not a superstar. No matter how much you stamp you feet, plug your ears and try to yell it. He's not. I've shown that in a few places here.

GH really isn't either. And the team still has a lack of size. It needs those elite picks to add some premium talent, especially in the front court. These 2 years were not the window, but danny is making it that with this move.

I agree with a lot of that, I think Kyrie staying in Boston is a long shot, and Id question the greatness of any player that looks great playing alongside Lebron drawing 3 guys defensively every time he goes near the basket

the last time Kyrie was the Alpha, he was leading an abysmal Cleveland team, before the King came to town

You tell me. Is he trolling or is he stupid?

Calling 1 year of IT, one unknown Brooklyn pick and Jae Crowder "the farm" is either stupid or troll.

You tell me.
It's not as catastrophic as some people think. But, it's definitely an overpay. We should have Kyrie and the BKN pick right now. That's what pisses me off.

LOL, you just called him "The Farm"

Again. Stupid or troll.

Crowder and the 2018 pick are two of their best trade assets.

And you're giving them up for 1 extra year of control on a small upgrade at the position.

Not impressed.

People continually underrate Crowder and overrate Irving.

If you think Irving is a superstar or even just better than GH, you're already so far off base that we can't even start.

CLE getting an A and Boston getting a grade C is more than generous.

Kyrie doesn't play any defense either.

Otherwise you'd have a point.

He's a small upgrade in the grant scheme of things.
You're totally missing my point here.

- Yes, they are both sub-par defenders
- No, they are not equally bad... nor is the difference here insignificant
- IT's height makes him a target that teams have found all kinds of ways of exploiting... him being on the floor literally undermines an entire team's defense.

I can't be too hard on a 21 year old kid with a wretched supporting cast not making the second round of the playoffs.

He's not a troll... he knows his basketball real well.

But I think it's fair to say he has a glass is half empty kind of mindset... as a sports fan, at least.

IT was pretty easy to shut down in the playoffs when he was the lone major scoring threat on his team.

When he's just 1 of a few major scoring threats... should be a different story.

Troll

That's what Pelton did. Those are the ESPN insider grades.

But again, you're nothing but personal attacks.

And for as magical as ITs ability is to score near the bucket, he's not Kyrie.

As quick as IT is. He's not Kyrie.

As good a ball handler as IT is. He's not Kyrie.

You can go up and down the stat sheet. In ITs career year last season on a team otherwise devoid of scoring talent, his stats are still inferior to Irving who was the second fiddle on a team with 3 offensive studs.

I would love to hear just one thing of significance that Thomas does better than Irving.

I tried giving you the benefit of the doubt. I asked you a ton of fair questions and you can't answer any of them.

In other words, you proved me right.

Maybe, maybe not. We'll have to see how it all plays out.

I can somewhat agree with you, and still feel excited for the future of this team.

I'm much happier with Irving at the point than IT. I think he, and Hayward will shine in this offense and improve under Stevens.

Tatum is better than you think he is, imo, we will have to revisit that in a couple years. Same can be said for Brown.

Those 4 guys are a very nice foundation in the next 2 or 3 years. That's what I'm hanging my hat on.
