The East is complete shit. BKN could be better than expected relatively speaking. The Cavs should flip the hell out of that pick, try to beat GS now(even though they wont) and kiss Lebron's ass goodbye.

The Nets have added an (almost) legitimate star in D'Angelo. He didn't get much of a chance in LA but in NJ he'll be given 20-25 shots a game.

I still think the Bulls will be the worse team in the East.

I answered that one and some of those others you didn't quote or tag me.

Yes draft classes aren't precise, but you're talking about the opportunity, all those top guys are clearly ahead of Tatum right now. Could they drop? Sure. But I'll take that chance for such a superior level of talent.

Responding to the post and ignoring everything in it is proving my point. Not yours.

At first glance, I think Cleveland won this trade. But with that said, I think Boston's moves this summer have given them the potential to be better than what they were last year. But their depth has taken a big hit. So I'm not quite as sure they'll be better. They definitely aren't better than the Cavs. The Cavs did awesome in this trade considering what other teams have gotten for trading star players. I'd be interested to see if the Cavs explore playing Crowder at SG? I think they match up better now against the Warriors than they did last year, still don't think they'd beat them in the Finals, but it makes it more interesting.

I didn't ignore it.

But you keep living in your fantasy world.

But that's you perogative. But schooling you is getting tiresome. You're not in my league kid. You keep proving it.

Brooklyn is gonna be awful man.

PG- Jeremy Lin, Spencer Dinwiddie
SG- DeAngelo Russell, Caris LeVert
SF- Allen Crabbe, DeMarre Carroll
PF- Hollis-Jefferson, Trevor Booker
C- Mozgov, Jarret Allen

that is fucking BAD.

You didn't quote me on this, and i also said Irving was an upgrade on IT. so not sure what your point it. But the stats show the totality of the difference is not that large. And certainly not worth premium assets.

Thomas is also 3 years older, 6 inches shorter, packed those stats on a team where there were no offensive alternatives, shot lesser percentages and is a year away from free agency.

Nobody is thrilled to see him leave. Nobody is thrilled to see the pick gone. But you don't get a 25 year old stud like Irving without giving up something.

The fact that you hate Tatum and Brown is your own battle. You're the only one I've seen to say anything remotely like that.

I will give you a very lofty benefit of the doubt.

Eric....I think the easier solution is just playing LeBron at shooting guard and keeping Crowder at SF.

LeBron is prob more versatile.

Cavs could go super big with a lineup of:

Rose
LeBron
Crowder
TT
Love

or go super small with:

IT
Korver
Crowder
Bron
TT

or could go with a disgusting shooting lineup

IT
Korver
JR
Bron
Love

Or they could go with an all defense lineup:

Bron at the point
JR at SG
Crowder at SF
Green at PF
TT at C

lot of possibilities

one thing i know for a fact

the game will be easier for Isiah Thomas- playing with LeBron and shooters like Korver, Smith, Love, Crowder etc.

the game will be harder for Kyrie leaving LeBron- and going to a team with much less spacing.

No question, that was my point earlier

Lebron literally draws almost the entire defense when he penetrates to the hole, makes everyone around him so much better than what they really are

And I believe Kyrie is a true true talent, im not trying to sell him short, just saying

They should trade Lebron and go all in on building for future greatness

Cause like you said, they aint beating GS anyway

Calling Kyrie a stud is probably overrating him a little. He's good, but he's not a top 15 player, maybe not even a top 20 player. Celics gave up a lot to get a 1 dimensional player, who himself has a history of injuries.

This is the rub.

He's not a stud or a star.

is he a damn good player? Sure

But he's not a superstar.

Do The Celtics Have Enough Star Power To Win a Title? Not Yet.

look at the chart at the bottom.

Similar impacts.

I'm not giving up 2 premium assets for one extra year of control. It's way too much of a short term thought process. Him signing an extension would make this a different conversation.

Oh it's not good, don't get me wrong. But they have the potential to be not bottom 3 bad, imo.

Could be the rare trade that both teams win.

Based on previous conversations today, this post clearly will also make you a troll.

How dare you say those things about the immortal Kyrie.

Yeah I was just specifically wondering when they play the Warriors in the Finals. I feel like Crowder is just a better overall player than JR is.

But are they similar impacts? Are they really?

You don't think Thomas' stats are going to drop significantly sharing the ball with Rose, Love and James? You don't think Irving's stats are going to go up getting out of LeBron's shadow and playing with guys who play off the ball like Hayward and Horford?

Are they similar impacts? I don't see it that way at all.

They can't trade LeBron, but that wouldn't be a bad idea if they could.

He's playing for the best coach he's ever had. He can play a little defense, he just doesn't. It's not out of the realm of possibility that he improves in that area.

I'll be interested to see what he's like without LBJ. Hayward is obviously a huge step down to what Kyrie is used to getting from the SF situation.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least to see his scoring go up, but it also wouldn't surprise me if he was less efficient. Hayward and Horford simply don't offer the same amount of attention as Lebron and Love did(more so because of Love being a threat from 3)
