Oh it's not good, don't get me wrong. But they have the potential to be not bottom 3 bad, imo.
true.

I think Orlando is the worst team in the league prob:

PG- Payton/Augustin
SG- Fournier/Afflalo
SF- Ross/Simmons
PF- Gordon/Isaac (though that has some long term potential there)
C- Vucevic, Biyombo

i mean- theres no guarantee they are worse than the Nets though.

Atlanta is really bad- but Atlanta has really good coaching---

PG- Schroeder, Delaney
SG- Bazemore, Belinelli
SF- Prince, Bembry
PF- Illysova, Babbit
C- Dedmon, Plumlee.....

yuck....but I have faith that Budz wont let them be disgustingly bad

Chicago blows too- but they actually have a handful of talent

PG- Kriss Dunn, Cameron Payne
SG- Dwade (prob gone), Justin Holiday, Denzel Valentine
SF- Lavine, Zipser (wtf?)
PF- Portis/Markenen (kinda like that actually)
C- Lopez

I gotta say---- the Nets wont have the incentive to tank since they dont have their pick- so there is that to consider---

but looking at hte rosters- the only roster in the EAst that i think is worse than the Nets is prob. the Hawks- but i like Budz a lot there.....

But are they similar impacts? Are they really?

You don't think Thomas' stats are going to drop significantly sharing the ball with Rose, Love and James? You don't think Irving's stats are going to go up getting out of LeBron's shadow and playing with guys who play off the ball like Hayward and Horford?

Are they similar impacts? I don't see it that way at all.

This is just a quote from the article:

"CPM reflects a combination of Real Plus-Minus, Box Plus/Minus, Win Shares and player efficiency rating"

So it tries to grab a bunch of stats to determine the impact.

Also look at this area of the article as well.

Consensus Plus-Minus, or CPM, is a statistic I use when I don’t want to get into arguments about the value of individual players. It reflects a combination of four popular statistics — Real Plus-Minus, Box Plus/Minus, Win Shares and player efficiency rating — equally weighted and translated to the same scale. It also adjusts for the player’s position, which the other metrics do not,CPM measures a player’s value relative to the positional average, rather than relative to the league average. Right now, there’s an excess of good centers and point guards but less depth among small forwards and shooting guards. This adjustment helps Hayward, who plays both those positions.

They should trade Lebron and go all in on building for future greatness

Cause like you said, they aint beating GS anyway
I mean- GSW definitely deserves their status as big favorites--- but all it takes is a sprained ankle here, or some hard fought series there- in order to have the tables evened up.

Its not like Curry and Durant are Cal Ripken Jr.-esque Iron Men.

The West should be improved this year---- and give them a rougher road to the Finals as well.....

They can't trade LeBron, but that wouldn't be a bad idea if they could.

I know, I file that under "Aint happening", but if they could, imagine the haul

So youd have this Nets pick
The Cavs own pick, which WITHOUT Lebron, could be a high pick
PLUS whatever haul Lebron brings

trade Isiah
trade Crowder
trade Love
trade LeBron

trade Osman and Zizic (both are euro-stashes that would have been 1st rounders this year)....

I hate Durants guts, but he has just put them on a level that cant be reached by anyone else right now

Like you said, an injury/stupid Draymond Green like suspension, is always possible

why in Gods name did the Hawks not trade Milsap?

That's why they canned their GM and hired Schlenk. Atlanta has been a clusterfck the last year or two with respects to their roster moves.

Warrior can still win a finals without one of Steph, KD or Klay. They absolutely cannot win one though without Draymond. Kind of crazy how that works out.

Poor front office foresight...Probably why they have a new GM....
I love Millsap, and hate that he went to Denver, a team going nowhere, thought he would have been a phenomenal piece on Cleveland/SA/Houston, any of the true contendors

Hmmmmmm, not so sure...........KD was clearly and so far away the best player in the Finals, Id have a hard time believing that series doesnt go 7 without him

And I acknowledge that Draymond is crazy important

Might be harder to get to the finals minus KD or Steph, not so much Klay.

if they wouldve dealt Horford, Teague and Milsap they would have jump started their rebuild---instead they let all 3 walk...strange.

Also signed Bazemore to an albatross contract.

This is what happens when you flounder every season as a 4 or 5 seed, if you never bottom out, you never go into sell mode cause somehow the front office gets convinced by the fools gold that "we have a shot"

OT, but I'm not looking forward to facing Kluber tonight.
