@WiggyRuss
Lets assume Wade goes to the Cavs.
Wouldn't they have close to 20 players under contract?
I'll bet they'll try to find a way to rid of J.R. and Shump.

Kind of like Durant eliminating James again?
lol how mad are you? seriously....

you dont get to gloat over the Cavs making a leveraged deal--- so this is what you bring?

enjoy .500- and a capped out team with no picks.....lol right in the middle- the WORST place to be in the league.

i want them to get rid of Shump yesterday- i wouldnt mindd them getting rid of Frye either to be honest now that they have Osman.

JR aint going ANYWHERE unless and until LeBron skedaddles.

Cavs have an interesting mix now--- and some flexibility to make a move or two if need be- even without the Brooklyn pick.

You're the one who seems to be mad, and a hypocrite.
Your mind is the one worrying about James eliminating his now rival Kyrie.
I'm just countering it means nothing if his real rival, Durant, abuses him again.

The finals will be hard to root for anyone.

Don't want it to be clear as day Danny messed up.....even though it is now.

But Durant is such an ignorant jackass that I don't want them to win either .

Come on Houston....get your crap together. How did you do nothing with 10m in non-guaranteed deals?

If Wade comes, J.R.'s role is what?
Can you imagine Wade, I.T. and Korver, Love or any combination of 3 on the floor vs the Warriors at the same time?

The Nets should still be very much in the mix to be at the bottom again......Brooke Lopez was by far their best player, and although Russell could be a nice add and send them in the right direction, that is still an awful roster

For as good as everyone says Brook Lopez is, how does the best big man on a team that bad only average 5.4 rebounds per game? Granted, they stretched him out more than he's ever been stretched before but 5.4 rebounds in 30 minutes is pretty weak.

The Nets should still be bad but I'm not sure he will be missed all that much.

Did Wade suddenly develop a 3-point shot? J.R. would still have a significant role if the Cavs brought in Wade.

I don't necessarily disagree with the rest of your post... at least not too bad.

However, I will take issue with the above. If you're in the business of winning championships, Irving is a pretty substantial upgrade over IT.

Why? Because IT is that big of a target and liability on defense.

I loved IT. I rooted for him. I would have rooted for him to the end if he was a career Celtic. But my head always told me that he was not a championship player because of his height.

Most folks around here had no problem saying what I just said during last years playoffs. But now... seems most folks have forgotten about IT's extreme limitations on defense.

(And yes, I'm aware that Irving isn't a good defender either. But he's not the weak link target that IT is because of his height... and that makes all the difference, IMO)

Going from awful to bad on the defensive end is the extremely minor upgrade I was talking about. The size of the holes on the sieve don't make that big of a difference on defense in the NBA anymore IMO. You either make up for it with team defense or you don't.

Oh no doubt, he has taken a lot of abuse in this city for years over how he defends and rebounds as a 7 footer

And Wade has to be a limited minutes guy at this stage

hey- i def. hope that trend continues!

I have faith that Russell, Crabbe and Mozgov will lead the Nets to being terrible.....Just hope that other teams arent overtly tanking. Like you said- that doesnt seem to be the Hawks style- esp. with a great coach like Budz.

Yeah, the Nets should suck just fine this year. You'll be standings watching and shouldn't be too disappointed.

Actually it hasn't been bad the last couple seasons.
What's Wade's role if he goes there?
He's not handling the ball.
He's not a great shooter.
He's not a great defender.
Is he starting?

No doubt.

Esp. considering Isiah has to be furious--- he works his way up to ALL NBA- is hugely embraced by the Boston fans...then gets dealt...lol

hes on a contract year and he has to have the biggest chip on his shoulder you can imagine--- and he will be playing with LeBron and Love- the best 2 teammate of his career.

gonna be fun.

Yeah, Isaiah would be naive to be totally blindsided/furious. His repeated Brinks truck comments didn't do him any favors here.

I cannot believe how bad Danny got hosed here.

It's an embarrassment.

The season is already over.

Even if you somehow make the finals, you earn the right to be swept by GS for 2 years and then fall back into irrelevancy as a mid tier east team.

Their ceiling is the 4th best team in the NBA (tops in the east, but behind GS, HOU and SA).
Absolutely pointless move.

If you troll, make it less obvious....................................

What. Wait.
You think that total eclipse of defense would be a good thing?

As far as Bosh, I can see why you're making these other posts.
You're living in lala land.

Last year Wade .310, J.R. .351 BTW.

Overall better player. Smarter Player. Team player.
Give me Wade any day of the week.
