When I said they should sell high, I didn't mean Danny.

I wanted Cousins. Or just deal IT for some more premium picks to keep the line moving forward.

RPM has Crowder as the best player in the entire deal (20th, and Amir was 21st...aka why the Celts were able to win 50 games with no obvious star).

This was just not the move. This was not a team that was one player away from GS. At all.
When it comes to Crowder... I loved Crowder, but he is the most expendable part of this equation.

It's a testament to how loaded the C's are at the wing position that they could jettison a starter like Crowder and still be one of the most loaded teams in the NBA at the wing.

- Hayward
- J Brown
- M Morris
- J Tatum

^ Not bad at all.

the problem is that as loaded as they are at wing- they are that shallow in the front court

TT and Love and LeBron will still eat the Celtics alive on the boards.

definitely any of the top 3 thats for sure

there look to be 3 legit franchise type players in next years draft at this point. We will have to see how the next 3-4 guys play out.

There's 5. Maybe 6 if you like Bridges alot. IMO Brides > Tatum.

Hawks have a great great coach, and he alone will keep them from being a complete embarassment
after Pop and Carlisle--- i am not sure there is a coach id rather have than Budz. DEFINITELY a top 5 coach.

maybe Stevens....?

I'm just bummed that a player that acted like a little bitch because he wasn't getting enough attention ended up on a contender. I was really hoping he would be traded to Minnesota.

thats what i was thinking/hoping. Schroeder will do some nice things this year too.

i cant believe i have to root for the Lakers this year. lol.

Hawks are the kings of being a 4-6 seed with a limited roster, and be absolutely no threat to make noise in the playoffs

Totally bottoming out is not their thing

I can't argue with you on this point... the clear, obvious weakness of the C's is rebounding and size at the 4/5.

This is one of the main reasons that Cleveland has owned Boston in recent history.

does he?

Hayward was told the team would be his.....its his former coach....the Boston fans will gravitate towards hayward....

Id say Hayward is more the face of the franchise their than Kyrie- but we shall see....itll be interesting.
yes, he does. this is the perfect spot for what he wants. a clear path thru the east every year. a team he can be the star on.

hayward is a #2 on this team. easy. and im sure hes fine with that.

i think they can sign kyrie.

two young guys who havne't proven a damn thing and were overdrafted.

A guy who might be in jail

and my beloved Hayward who should've been starting at the 2 with Crowder at the 3.

hey- i def. hope that trend continues!

I have faith that Russell, Crabbe and Mozgov will lead the Nets to being terrible.....Just hope that other teams arent overtly tanking. Like you said- that doesnt seem to be the Hawks style- esp. with a great coach like Budz.

Meh... Morris is rich and he ain't going to jail.

And Brown did prove something last season. He's going to be a player in this league.

Im a big believer in Stevens, so Id put them in the same class.....

They also hired the Golden State guy as their GM

They have a long long way to go, but having a coach from the Pop coaching tree, and a GM from Golden State, I trust the direction

Im not so sure that team is his....Hayward is an all star, Tatum can be great......I think time will tell what kind of teammate Irving is....So far what we know is that he's been a pretty big dick to teammates and needs to own the spotlight...Irving will never be as popular as Hayward in Boston, Hayward was born to play in Boston
it will be fun to watch., havent been this excited since i literally fell out of my chair at my office when they got KG.

true enough

itll be punishment enough for him to be eliminated at LeBron's hands. More humiliating.

The Nets should still be very much in the mix to be at the bottom again......Brooke Lopez was by far their best player, and although Russell could be a nice add and send them in the right direction, that is still an awful roster

I cannot believe how bad Danny got hosed here.

It's an embarrassment.

The season is already over.

Even if you somehow make the finals, you earn the right to be swept by GS for 2 years and then fall back into irrelevancy as a mid tier east team.

Their ceiling is the 4th best team in the NBA (tops in the east, but behind GS, HOU and SA).
Absolutely pointless move.

Yeah, but if they keep Irving, in 3-4 years, they'll have a core of Irving, Brown, Tatum, and Hayward, which is a pretty nice core to build around.

Hayward is gonna get Larry Bird treatment in Boston

Its been pretty well established that Kyries' ego cant handle not being the most loved, so he isnt signing in Boston

Then at least they can trade him or have cap space vs having I.T. signed long term to a horrible contract.

Thats gonna be must watch TV
No doubt.

Esp. considering Isiah has to be furious--- he works his way up to ALL NBA- is hugely embraced by the Boston fans...then gets dealt...lol

hes on a contract year and he has to have the biggest chip on his shoulder you can imagine--- and he will be playing with LeBron and Love- the best 2 teammate of his career.

gonna be fun.
