He has the highest winning percentage for qb in nfl history.

but just wait till a rookie QB wins week 1, then try saying that
nonsense. Your claims are so absurd. I cannot comment on them. Jimmy G is >montana

so what, hes not a rookie, he sat with the best coach , and qb ever and learned...........this narrative that he needs more time is absurd. Rookies come in and play, they are expected to perform. Guys who sit a year, are then supposed to go. Hes going to be 29 and has been in the league for 6 years.

If someone signs bridgewater, are they gonna say "he needs time to learn", no hes gonna be expected to perform.

Agree, the whole sit and needs time thing isnt really relevant anymore. Guys are expected to preform right away unless they dont have much around them. Even still guys like Darnold, Jones, Haskins, etc. better show more this year

I blame first Shanahan, then the defense and then Garoppolo third.

See that's the problem you got the order all wrong. See when your in the closing minutes and need a first down to ice a game and it's 2nd and 5, that's ideal for a QB to cinch the game. The defense is keying on a running game, no doubt about that. All you need is 5 yards. Just let Kittle make his block, drift to a open spot and bingo game should be over. Except Jimmy screwed it up. 49ers have converted this type of situation all season. They have called pass with this type of down and distant more then a few times. It's ideal for a QB that you don't want throwing down field much. It's exactly what the 49ers strive for, a down that the defense has to defend the run, and a pass that Jimmy doesn't have to wing it down field. If Aaron Rogers was the QB nobody criticizes calling a pass on that down. Could say the same for many QBs in the league. Course putting that pressure on a QB of Jimmy caliber and the howling starts right up. It's really entirely Jimmy fault for not being able to execute a basic simple play that should be right up his alley.

does it matter.....you used those stats without win/loss to justify greatness.

im still waiting, days now actually, you keep deflecting. Please own me, tell me how jimmy G is far superior to dilfer. How Jimmy made his team, and played better than dilfer
Its the only thing that matters. That's why they keep score.

Oh yea I forgot thats all Jimmy has going for him, my bad.

But no Wins and losses are a team stat, not a player specific stat
Yep Garoppolo plays on the best team. That's why they win.

Its ideal for a power running team to run it down the Chiefs throats. The ONLY thing that can stop the clock in that situation is an incomplete pass and Shanahan's idiocy made that possible. All he had to do was call for a run and then another. They for sure would have had a first down.

As for your ridiculous statement about it not being the defenses fault and all on Garoppolo; they gave up 21 points in 6 minutes. Don't be a fool.

He probably wasn't even one of the six people that was waiting for 49ers when they came back home after losing. Six people, lol, that still cracks me up.

You guy's did give up a couple costly big play's ... The 3rd and 15 was a HUGE moment swing, definitely changed the complexion of the game... A stop there and you're still up 10 late with possession, wasn't over but certainly looking good... Shanahan definitely got pass happy at the wrong time, seemed like the running game was working...

Jimmy passes out of the play action almost every down, the 49rs running game sets him up nicely and has all year...

What Shanahan's late Super Bowl play-calling should tell us

When the 49ers took over again with 6:13 remaining, Kansas City had cut the lead to 20-17. The 49ers’ first offensive play was from their own 20-yard line.

Mostert gained 5 yards on first down, setting up a second-and-5. It was wide open for Shanahan to run or pass. The Chiefs had eight defenders in the box. At this stage of the game, Garoppolo had completed 18 of his 22 pass attempts.

Garoppolo faked an inside handoff to Mostert, who if he had been handed the ball would have run into the teeth of the Kansas City defense to the left. Kittle, lined up in the right slot, was wide open for what would have been at least a 10-yard gain in the middle of the field.

Shanahan has no regrets on abandoning run down stretch

When asked if he wished they had run the ball more on that possession, Shanahan stood by his decision.

"No not at all," he said. "The last thing you're thinking about when you're up three points and there is that much time left, the clock is not an issue at that time, especially with the timeouts. The issue was moving the chains. If you move the chains, then you will wind the clock."

Jimmy G. choked away the game.
