Yeah if SB's were only 3 quarters, he would be a legend

That's really funny Sonny and correct to boot, yet I find myself thinking he's a dang good coach. Feels weird, but I'm really impressed with what he has done with the 49ers despite the melt down in the Super Bowl. A better QB and he would be talked about as one the best HC in the league IMO.

Just to be clear, I'm not calling him a bust, I'm saying he's a averaged skilled QB. It's stuff like this that get me going

3. Brees - NO
4. Rodgers - GB
5. Watson - HOU
6. Jimmy G - SF
7. Tannehill - TEN
8. Brady - NE
9. Jackson - BAL
10. Ryan - ATL
11. Allen - BUF
12. Prescott - DAL
13. Wentz - PHI
14. Stafford - DET
15. Cousins -MIN
16. Brissett - IND
17. Lock - DEN
18. Goff - LAR
19. Rivers - free agent
20. Carr - Oakvegas
21. Rudolph/Hodges/Roethlisberger - PIT
22. Mayfield - CLE
23. Murray - AZ
24. Trubisky - CHI
25. Jones - NYG
26. Winston - TB
27. Haskins/Keenum - WAS
28. Dalton - CIN
29. Newton/Allen/Greir - CAR
30. Minshew/Foles - JAX
31. Fitzpatrick - MIA
32. Darnold - NYJ

Or:

Jimmy G. or Shanahan... Who should shoulder more of the blame?

I'm not carried away. I can't remember exactly where I ranked him in one of the other threads, but it was something like 8-10.

Guess basically I object to folks claiming Jimmy is special in any way. He's meh, adequate, OK certainly not special.

In no way do I think he's special. He needs a few more healthy seasons with improvements to get into that type of talk.

It takes longer for some than others
6 years is excessive. Most players don't even stay in the league that long.

by jimmys measure. Trubisky is headed to the hall of fame.

baker looks awesome

darnold is a boss

Mariota is a future pro bowler

hell rg3 has a few more years to catch on

Yes. We saw how bad the team was in 2018 without Garoppolo. He is critical to their success.
What's critical is Jimmy stepping up and coming through in moments like in the Super Bowl when he let his team down. Shanahan isn't going to continue with the training wheels much longer. Jimmy going have to stay up on that bike by himself going forward. Lets see how that goes.[/QUOTE]
No. I blame first Shanahan, then the defense and then Garoppolo third.

The guy has started just 26 games, not even two seasons, you rolling out these stats like he has some hall of fame resume. He has a lot more to prove in this league besides dating washed up pron stars and staying healthy. You bragging on his postseason, like he won them the Super Bowl. I see a guy that started 3 postseason games, two of them conveniently at home this past season and threw more picks than touchdowns.
Because of his stellar play during the season leading them to the best record in football. he's a good QB. The best one the 49ers have had in quite a while.

What was that QB's won/loss record?
does it matter.....you used those stats without win/loss to justify greatness.

im still waiting, days now actually, you keep deflecting. Please own me, tell me how jimmy G is far superior to dilfer. How Jimmy made his team, and played better than dilfer

He has the highest winning percentage for qb in nfl history.

but just wait till a rookie QB wins week 1, then try saying that
