I think Kwik's athletic ability being what it is....passing and letting another team pay too much for him isn't a bad strategy.

Well, the Packers do need an upgrade at middle linebacker and he fits the mold. All the Bears need to do is give him a big contract in order to keep him.

He's not an upgrade on Blake Martinez, but Martinez is a free agent as well so they may opt to spend less on Kwiatkowski. We'll see.

I would be fine with bringing back Trevathan for another year or two if it'll be significantly cheaper than re-signing Kwiatkowski. People forget just how good he was playing before he got hurt. Also, Kevin Pierre-Louis played great when called upon as well.

That's always been Kwit's knock as well. He was better this year but was pretty bad at it the year before.

Kwit looked pretty athletic out there playing for us last year. I think he was PFF's top rated LB in three separate weeks despite playing only half of a season.

I also don't think anyone knows who the hell he is. So, I don't know who would really be prepared to throw a bundle at him.

I think you could get him at a relatively cheap price and have Kwit/Roquan in the middle for the next handful of seasons. Roquan hasn't even turned 23 yet and Kwit is 26 going on 27.

I don't envision teams lining up to give Kwit 6-8 mil per year.
