Why is that not reality?“Dime a dozen”….Meanwhile, in reality…Bears filling WR2.
I’m just busting your balls. It’s a good move. Williams will have 2 bona fide studs at receiver and we can use our other draft picks for young talent in the trenches. Why is that not reality?
We just filled the 2 with a way better player than Mooney, for a 4th rd pick.
It's not a dime a doze, yet easily replaced and moved on from. Dime a dozen.
Love the move. Solidify the line with a couple tweaks...I like the potential of this O.I’m just busting your balls. It’s a good move. Williams will have 2 bona fide studs at receiver and we can use our other draft picks for young talent in the trenches.
Keenan is pretty proven. He'd be hard-pressed to bitch too much. There was was plenty of reason to complain about Claypool. A 2nd rounder was a gamble to say the least.Genius will cry about it though…lol…Mark my words. Claypool 2 or some sh*t.
No one is arguing when healthy he is good. But he'll be 32 now with a history of hamstring issues not to mention had a great QB throwing to him every down. I mean Allen got peppered, i watched a lot of Chargers games. This is not the same situation here. Giving up a 4th will not age well. Mark this post. When healthy, Keenan Allen is good. He’s not usually healthy though. Hopefully that changes in the bears offense.
Probably. It’s not like you’re going out on a limb. Hopefully, you are wrong, and his hamstring is completely healed, but I doubt it.No one is arguing when healthy he is good. i'm going more out on a limb than anyone else in here, who all unanimously seemed overjoyed by this move. Which i don't get at allProbably. It’s not like you’re going out on a limb. Hopefully, you are wrong, and his hamstring is completely healed, but I doubt it.
He’s a 6 time pro bowler. Fans will get excited. The fact is, he could be our # 3 WR when the season starts depending on how the draft goes. That’s a huge improvement. Whoever our QB is is going to have plenty of weapons to throw to.i'm going more out on a limb than anyone else in here, who all unanimously seemed overjoyed by this move. Which i don't get at all
But so what? You see us winning the SB this year? Or next year? If the plan is in 3 years Allen will be 35 and useless to us. Keeping the 4th gives us better long term leverage. He’s a 6 time pro bowler. Fans will get excited. The fact is, he could be our # 3 WR when the season starts depending on how the draft goes. If I remember reading last night,Keenan is in his final year of his contract,we have the money and used it wisely,if he performs well like we all know he can, maybe he earns another year.......
If old age catches up to him, well then we got CW a seasoned vet to get him started out and then we will replace him in 2025.....
He does miss a lot of time tho,14 games missed last 4 years,2019 was his ladt time he played a full season.......but those injured seasons he was still very productive..........
Good signing.........I like it
Of course we did. This is obvious. So did we give up a 4th for one season......I have no idea, but lets see what happens.
Maybe. Odds are the 4th rounder will be gone in 3-4 years too though. But so what? You see us winning the SB this year? Or next year? If the plan is in 3 years Allen will be 35 and useless to us. Keeping the 4th gives us better long term leverage.
But why take that chance? Should we just give up on all our late picks because “odds are they will be gone”? 4th is not that late of a pick. This is stupid trade all around that doesn’t coincide with the plan. Hate to burst everyone bubble but we ain’t winning the sb next year with or wout Keenan which makes this trade so puzzling to me.Maybe. Odds are the 4th rounder will be gone in 3-4 years too though.
All I know is, prior to this trade the Bears were getting ready to field a Team with only 1 NFL starting caliber wide receiver. Now they can start 2. I seriously doubt any 4th rounder could/would accomplish that task at a premier position. But why take that chance? Maybe Poles wants a decent record to save his job.
