I think it is because he is gay. PFF had him rated around the #5 safety if I remember correctly.

Huh. Interesting. I had no idea re: Rhodes, but the pics don't lie IMO. I was fairly surprised that he was on the open market. There are plenty of teams - including ours - that could use some help at FS. This would help explain why he's still sitting out there.

And apparently he was PFF's fourth-highest rated safety, receiving particularly high marks in coverage.
