Not sure it's @tlance that needs to buy a clue.

The point was never whether or not Fizdale is a great coach. Not one person on here has claimed that Fizdale is a great coach.

The point always was that Fizdale was not the problem. At the least, he wasn't the most urgent problem. Not even close.

The problem is the roster and incompetence in the front office. Firing Fizdale just further proves that point.

He wasn't close to their biggest problem, but he's the one they chose to address. Which is why they are likely going to continue being a terrible team for the foreseeable future.

Assuming the current coach is truly better than Fizdale, that gets them what? 5? Maybe 6 more wins? They still aren't going to the playoffs.

But, those additional wins could very well effect the number of ping pong balls they get which can hurt their chances of getting a player that can help get them turned around quickly.

And you are acting like that is some great accomplishment.

The bottom of the East is awful. Dreadfully bad. The 7th seed is 23-28 with a .451 win percentage and the 8th seed is 22-31 with a .415 win percentage. And those teams aren’t that good either.

Bottom line, the Knicks aren’t good enough to be the 8th seed. But even if they were, it would just make them the tallest midget. Because after the top 6, there is a major drop off in quality.
