I never said he was in the show. I said they were showing him a path he could take to get to the show because his other skills may have been falling short. It’s right there if you actually read.

What is their on base percentage? Not every hit a home run hitter get is a home run. C’mon man, let those neurons do their job

Cmon enough with these games

You said if he COULD hit 300 in the majors.

of course it wouldn’t matter if he could , but no one know this, right? Please tell me you now understand what you wrote

All major sports today , the players prepare the same way , run lift and diet ,

Years ago they didn’t all prepare this way, but now they do , so to me it’s the same,

What’s different, they lift as much, run as much, and watch their diets

What am I missing here

You really think athlete's today train and have the same dietary habits as players decades ago? Probably, you're a goofball.

So in yer weird world you think Wilt & LeBron ate and trained the same?

That’s a fukin insult

You have no idea what you are talkin about

We ran the the perimeter of the 4 fields to start the day off

We ran 100 yard sprints , and every 50 ft you did sqaut thrusts up and down with jumpin jacks , bout 10 of em…

Then we ran in a huge circle with glove in hand and line drives were fongo’d at our heads…

Mixed in limited fielding and hitting and a couple of game situations, ya know Like the pitchers coverin the bag and bunting, lol , the fundamentals which are clearly not worked on enough

Then we end the day with about 10 laps around 4 field perimeter…

You are the one that said he was a .300 hitter. I was going from your story. Now, what? You’re just flat out telling me he didn’t have the skills to make the bigs but somehow it’s the big bad analytics suggesting his only chance is to become a power hitter.

You need to make it make sense.

In the minors he was a 300 hitter. who the hell knows what he would or could do in the majors if he got there , but you responded with it don’t matter home runs for a 2bagger if he hits 300 in majors.. yes or no?

And who the hell know what the coaches feel, they are told by the front office, more home runs from all position players , that’s all they care about!

You see hit and runs, stolen bases , small ball anymore in today’s game ?

Clearly the coaches knew. The fact that you think this argues against analytics shows how far out of touch you are.

I don’t care about baseball, this is a basketball thread.

I’m not talking about you.

You always claim the pros didn’t work hard.

But that is BS, because they all did what you are talking about here to get there.

Then maybe back then they coasted after they got their big paychecks.

What I am saying is that NBA players can’t coast like that anymore.

The top dogs are driven by legacies and they work hard. The mid are trying to get their bag, so they work too. And the bottom are trying to keep their spots.

Just so much more competition today.

The players who don’t work hard in today’s NBA are few and far between.

I agree to disagree

These kids today are not only blessed , but they control just about everything

They know if they work too hard they will be to tired to make it through

I wished I didn’t have to work that hard sometimes, when we had a rain delay when there was no warm up, ya just felt stronger

These kids know this today , only problem with it is they take advantage of it and do not come in properly trained , hence injuries early on and often.

Cmon now, these kids today don’t think at all , they don’t have too , they make more money then the old timers and coaches

You are just wrong man.

Competition for these spots is so much greater than ever before.

You coast, you are out.

Unless otherworldly talented like a Ben Simmons.

But eventually teams going to stop taking chances on him too.

You are the one who is wrong here my friend…

There are many players who should not even be where they are … too many to list

One in particular, Tim Hardaway son, if you truly believe that kid earned his way , you be sadly mistaken

I saw many kids whose dad played that took the chance away from players that could have gone far

You’re forgetting this is a business, as long as those seats are filled , is all that matters

You are freakin’ kidding. Hardaway Jr ain’t his dad, but he’s a solid role player in the NBA. Average, not great, but he certainly has the skills to be there even if he had a different last name.

And if he didn’t, he wouldn’t have a 12 year career averaging almost 30 minutes a game.

This isn’t Udonis Haslem on the end of a bench for years.

Fans aren’t buying a ticket to watch Tim Hardaway Jr.

That is hilarious that you believe that.

You said it is a business and that filling the seats is all that matters.

Not true, because winning teams fill the seats better, get more games and sell more merchandise.

And nobody going to a game to watch THJ. So his presence can’t be strictly to sell tickets.

And he played a big role with all of them.

That doesn’t help your case.

I don’t care how many minutes he’s played or who he’s played for , he took the job away from some kid who was better

He’s known as what we used to call a chucker.

No way he’s in league if not for dad
