There is nothing at all unlucky about what the Knicks have done.

They have a Mediocre roster.

So they choose to resign RJ Barrett to a big contract and go hard after Jalen Brunson so they could over pay him.

He is good, makes them better.

But not nearly enough.

So now, the Knicks going to end up in a play in game and they have a ton of future cap tied to role player caliber guys.

So no chance they can actually sign the difference maker they lack.

It is the mistake they keep making over and over again.

That isn’t bad luck, it is stupidity.
COMPLETELY IGNORING THE FACT THAT MAYBE SUPERSTARS WONT PLAYER HERE FOR SOME OTHER REASON OTHER THAN DOLAN.

Wtf does Dolan have to do with the Game other than being born with a silver spoon in his mouth ? What have present players said about Dolan ?

Dolan is responsible for the failure of this org. No doubt!

But not for the reasons you guys would kamkazi yourselves for… what the

Ask yourself, how many other teams have not been able to field a team that was considered a viable contender even once Dolans tenure. The list is very short and composed of only the worst run teams with bad owners. Yet we are not supposed to consider Dolan a bad owner
Just find one f n post where I say Dolan is not to be blamed .

Knicks screwed up by not getting that Donovan Mitchell deal locked down and opening the door for the Cavs to steal him out from under their noses.

Barrett is destined to be one of those guys that's not good enough to lead the team but clogs your cap space enough to keep you from improving enough to truly compete.

What is this mysterious other reason? It's Dolan and his hires and his roster. It's not NYC, it's not the venue, it's not the media. It's not bad luck or timing after 23 years.

I have a couple incorrect reasons that could explain why the Knicks haven't had any type of sustained success this entire century.

1. MSG's in a bad neighborhood

2. there's a secret league conspiracy to keep the Knicks from having success

3. MSG is haunted

4. the place smells funny

One thing for sure. The owner of Knicks shouldn't be held accountable for the state of his franchise. <---- #pasta-logic

Only about 90% of your posts are logical contortions to cast blame anywhere but at Dolan. I guess other than that I can’t find anything.
It the players. It’s the coaches. Its the GM. It’s the media. it’s anything but Dolan despite his being the one constant through their years of suckage

If Dolan hired the right people?

Sure.

They could get something going pretty quick.

But he has had 20 years to get it done and never got remotely close. And it sure won’t happen in the next few years.

Playing in a big market city with that built in advantage, that is unacceptable.

You are way too literal. It isn’t like “I don’t like Dolan, I won’t sign with the Knicks”.

It is Dolan’s desire to get marginally better every year, aim for 40-45 wins and seek a bottom tier playoff seed that makes it impossible to actually get to the level where they are a contender.

Dolan owns the New York Rangers

The Rangers have a GM

They have a head coach

They have assistance who specialize in certain areas of game

They have players who have to execute the coaches plan..

They have nutritionists and trainers who train….

So, according to you all there is nothing similar to what the blueprints are for success for a team in the NBA.

Ok

Ok

Dude.

That is an incredibly vague blueprint.

At the most basic level it is the same.

Unfortunately, all you can comprehend is the most basic level, so it looks the same to you.

It isn’t.

Every pro league has nuanced differences from the others. The NBA is hands down the hardest to build a contender in. And it really isn’t very close.

But it’s a blueprint!

And it’s pretty simple

You want to make it sound like it’s rocket science, you do that!

It’s what you do

It’s not complicated at all, they don’t have a superstar, you know dam well the superstars are calling the shots of where they want to play and to whom they want to play with…

Little off topic , Durant , f Ed up. Should have stayed with curry , f the money. Goal is too win. They could have figured it out financially in GS . But he had to leave for his own ego. And how has that worked out for him. Too me, he’s losing his rep somewhat . Nets are still a mess. Could you imagine if the shit that was happening in Brooklyn was happening at the Mecca? They would be booing Durant!

Back to my opinion, not enough good basketball ball minds for the players to respect. They think they can do it on there own. They can’t.

There are plenty of great basketball minds out there. Dolan just can’t find them.
