My whole point has always been that you need superstars to win in the NBA.

Just because you have superstars doesn’t mean you always win.

You need a supporting cast, competent coaching and a lot of other things too.

Knicks can’t get close to finding the right ingredients because they are incompetently run.

DESPITE the tremendous advantage gained from playing in the NYC market.

I have said he is incompetent.

But he is probably the worst owner in sports.

And there are lots of big markets where players are under pressure to perform. You make it seem like NY is the only one. Completely false.

The hell is wrong with you? Yes if Dolan could offer KD $100 mil a year he maybe signs there. But he can't. You keep asking why the Knicks suck so bad, we keep telling you, and you keep ignoring it. Until they decide to strip it down to the studs like Philly did and Utah thought they were doing, they will never get a big name to sign there because big names can get paid the same anywhere and want to play for teams that can win.

It's not Dolan personally, it's the people Dolan has running his team. He has yet to find a good one.

You’re starting to get it. Because of decisions made on over investing in not superstars you wouldn’t get Durant because they can’t surround him with supporting players that other teams can. So even if Durant could get the same money from the Knicks his chances of winning are less because of poor management. So yes, he’s not coming because of Dolan’s poor leadership. Even you can see Dolan now has a long history of poor decision making for the Knicks.

To be fair, I think what he's trying to say is how is it Dolan's fault that the GM makes these bad decisions? Obviously he has to find the right one, but bad deals aren't things he personally puts together. He tells the GM go build me a winner

And he has done a terrible job at finding GMs that have any type of plan.
