This will be the shocker of the century if this does happen - never ever ever saw this coming and as long as he's not at risk, then I'm all for it, just so I can see Kimmo play again

I think the Flyers miss Kimo more than they'd like to admit especially on the defensive intensity side of things. His consistency is what I believe they really miss the most.

Yep

I don't miss his lack of foot speed and that was a big problem, but his intensity on defense and his stalwart ability on the PK was important

I agree, Cobiemonster. Again, I wonder if they brought in Richards and teamed him up with Kimmo how that would effect the defensive intensity of the Flyers and whether those two could mentor the younger defensemen on their games?

I don't see Richie coming here, I think there's a lot of hoops that would have to go through in order for that to happen, with the contract - I'm not sure the Flyers would want him either - I'd love to see him back but like I said, lots of things would need to happen in order for that to take place

But if there's no risk involved in coming back for Kimmo, then absolutely I'd like to see what he can do with these other guys

I just want it for the nostalgia. See him one more time. I don't even care about getting an asset, if he is still effective I want to get him on a playoff team

He wants to go out on his terms. As long as he can without being at a greater risk of harm, go for it. If he can get a few games in this year, maybe he tries again for next season. I may try to go if he makes a come back.

I wouldn't mind Richie back if LA ate 80% of his salary.

Nice to see Timonen in good spirits last night. Sounds like he wants to play badly so I guess you have to let him. He will help....

If he can get back to his old self this dramatically changes the defense. Coburn is due back in a week which makes our top 6 for the end of the season as Timonen, Grossmann, Streit, Schultz, MDZ and Coburn. I would hate to see either MDZ or Schultz sit for A Mac. Schenn is definitely going to sit and probably sooner than later. Have also read that the Flyers are looking to extend both Schultz and MDZ. If they are extended we will have Streit, Grossmann, A Mac, Coburn, L. Schenn, Schultz and MDZ all signed for next year. I am not pretending to be an Accountant, but that would make 7 under contract for next year. Not much room for Morin, Ghost or Hagg if that's the case.

PS. I hope Kimmo feels great and decides to play next year!
