Yes. Yes it does.

If rumors are true, that's 3 first rounders and approximately 90 million in guaranteed money tied up in 2 LBs.

They better dominate.

I don't think they'll do all this, but IF they gave up two #1's and give him an Aaron Donald contract this is a mistake IMO. It's just too much. They aren't winning anything right now. Use those two #1's plus that boatload of money on 2 big FAs next offseason and you get more mileage out of it. :2cents:

If that QB turns the corner, the Bears could be a force. An underrated O-line, a solid running attack and a top 10 defense that just added arguably the best pass rusher in the league. A lot has to depend on what they gave up (reportedly 2 firsts and players/more picks) but that team may win the division.

Looks like the trade only goes through if the Bears can sign Mack. No contract = no trade.

Now the Oakland Coliseum should kick the Raiders out at the end of the season and force them to play at Sam Boyd for a year, or play 16 road games.

Again, it's all based on whether the lights turn on for the QB and if they get Mack (without losing a ton of current players). If that is the case, they won't have many weaknesses....and yes....they can contend for the division.

This is super fucking awkward for me considering I adopted the Bears as my NFC team entirely because the Chiefs made a similarly ridiculous decision with their all-pro CB for reasons that were not particularly related to football. You can't say Mack was a problem off the field like say Jared Allen was at the time either with the DUI's.

If true interested if the Raiders got what they were asking for and does this make the Bears a playoff contender?
At this point their D may have already been borderline playoff ready. With Mack it ought to be pretty damn darn good as they were missing an elite edge guy big time.

If Trubisky and the offense do much of anything they're in the conversation for a playoff spot now, imo. It'll be hard to beat out the Vikings and the Packers are always there with Rodgers, but the Bears are giving them a chance. Debate the wisdom of this trade all you want, but you can't deny Mack's talent right now.

Mack is a hell of a player, one of the more impactful defensive players in the league but two 1st rounders is real expensive even for him.

Tha Patriots traded Chandler Jones for John Cooper, a horrible O-lineman, and a 2nd round draft pick. Jones is arguably better than Mack. Tha Cards got a steal by this standard.
