WRs were pretty open that game, he still missed some and threw some bad picks. Even on some of the completed passes, the passes themselves took forever to get there and werent well thrown. IDK, just don't see anything in him worth keeping. Easily upgraded IMO.

the thing is...back up QB jobs are earned in the offseason and training camp. The job is much more than arm strength at this level. I have no problem with Moore being allowed to compete with a drafted rookie or a Cassells type veteran. I've said all this month that we need three QB's next year, and I'm not as sure as some that a college QB is a sure fire upgrade. Right or wrong...the decision isn't based on one football game.

let um compete....I trust they will make the correct decision this time around

Seems like Moore is being judged really hard in some ways. The guy has played in what 3 games? I don't see any harm in bringing him to camp and letting him compete. Doesn't mean you keep him.

I will admit to being biased against Moore, because I never thought he was NFL material when he was in Boise.
Of he proves me wrong great, I just don't see him as a NFL QB.

I agree...it's not like anyone is suggesting this guy is NFL starter material, but NFL back-up with value towards team is certainly possible. Frankly....considering how this guy got to play in the first place, I thought he showed some positives.

After much thought, I don't think the cowboys are that close to being championship caliber.I think romo going down really showed us how important the Qb position is. We need to take a qb in either the 1st or 2nd round. I think with the right coaching Connor cook would flourish in dallas. After the disaster we just watched I would not blame them if they drafted Lynch at 4 and brought him along slowly. You can say how they played hard for moore and kitna. The difference between those 2 is Kitna was actually talented

If Dallas takes a QB in the first I hope life hell they pick up extra picks (yes picks) via a couple of true downs. QB in the 20 range is just as good of a prospect you can get at #4.

Who knows. Always seems certain teams fall in love with one or two of these QBs and I doubt they see the others in the same light. But who knows what Dallas will think come draft day.

I'd be kind of pissed if we trade down into the 20's. I'd be OK with a trade back but I see very little chance of me liking a trade down if the first pick we get to make is in the 20's.

I know, it's just if a QB is the first pick I hope the team gets an extra couple of 2nd round picks. Not sold on any of these QBs as a top 10 pick.
Again as I stated in the past I won't be happy but I will trust this staff, no matter how they play it.

i still think Moore has some value as our #3 QB and if Romo goes down again he would see some playing time

If Romo goes down and Moore as the #3 gets playing time, doesn't that mean the #2 is down too?

to me it means that we draft a QB to be #2 and that both he and Moore see playing time if Romo goes down

If we draft a QB as a number 2, and Moore is playing I'd say it means Moore is currently better and should be named the #2, until the rookie earns the title. Don't just name a guy 2 because you drafted him as Romos replacement.

The staff has been hitting pretty good on #1s. Since 2008 the only crap pics were Morris Clayton and Jenkins, both CB's.

Kellen may be serviceable as a game manager but I just don't see him leading this team.

The time to draft the next qb is this draft. Sure it is a gamble, but I don't want to see 2000 through 2003 happen again. Wentz is going in the 1st round. We know the Browns will draft a qb. The chargers may draft a qb. If the chargers don't take a qb then I want wentz or goff.

You forgot to mention wasting the 1st round pick on Felix jones in 2008. There were better running back taken after him. That draft pisst me off

I agree about Moore, but I don't want to name a drafted QB #2 just because of where he was drafted. A big Dallas complaint was playing guys because of their contracts, what Scotsman is suggesting is no different. I don't care who it is the 2nd best QB should hold the #2 title. At the same time if a guy comes in and is better than Romo, he should be #1.

I just don't see Kellen as much of a #2. Manager yes/maybe but not much more. If a guy comes in and can be better than Romo, fuck yeah put him in. We wasted several years with Romo sitting on bench.
