No doubt the Bengals have to figure something out with Trey. That article was from April of 2024. Definitely something to keep an eye on for sure.
I was just reemphasizing since Kiem mentioned no trade had been asked for. Like you mentioned, he did request a trade in 2024.

Oh okay, that was 2024 though. Jon Allen basically requested a trade by that standard. I did see an article that Trey wants something done with his contract.

I too remember Allen venting about the losing etc. It should be interesting to see if the Bengals can "fit" Hendrickson in their budget along with Chase and Higgins plus everyone else.

All this talk about other positons is puzzling to me as the interiour the OL is by far my biggest concern. Cosmi will miss most if not all of the season, the LG is meh and in need of an upgrade. The backup center was a disaster and they do not have mid-rounders in the pipeline ready to step up.

They have to go pretty big at this position in free agency I would think.

I would sign Stanley and Scherf in FA. Put Stanley at LT, Coleman at LG, Biadz at Center, Scherf at RG, and Wiley at RT. Also sign back Lucas for swing OT. Would need a backup center. Bring Allegretti back as backup swing OG.

In a previous pod Keim did mention that they need to sign a guard or two. There is also talk of kicking Coleman inside.

We don't know Coleman will be an improvement over Alagretti at guard and I think they want to see if they have nailed down the longterm LT spot.

Are you against signing Stanley in favor of Coleman at LT?

I understand the window is open but not sure I want to bring in old, injure prone players for big money. I really hope they bring back Lucas. That combo was pretty decent and Coleman has a lot of upside. I don't think the organization has given up on Coleman at LT any more than they have given up on Johnny Newton who showed less IMO.

How costly do you think?

Spotrac has him at 10.2 mil. I think it will be closer to 15 but also think he is worth it.

ok but he also a one year wonder. Still a risk.
