Made the right choice in keeping Gronk over Dez or Marshall - the AJ Green owner didn't keep him in order to free up his #1 draft pick, so barring some kind of weird anomaly, I'll be able to get Dez/marshall/Green as my WR1 to go with my stacked RBs
So, I'll have the 3rd, 15th, 16th, 30th, 33rd picks as my first 5, non-keeper selections.
35 keepers made by owners, out of a potential 40. 2 guys only kept 2 players, which is our minimum.
WRs available:
AJ Green
Dez Bryant
Brandon Marshall
Randall Cobb
Vincent Jackson
Victor Cruz
Andre Johnson
Roddy White
Larry Fitzgerald
Michael Crabtree
Michael Floyd
unless a high potential RB falls to me somewhere, my goal is to nab 3 of the WRs from that list within my first 5 picks, then try to land Gordon later, in hopes that I can keep him next year at a great value.
RBs available:
Alf Morris
Zac Stacy
Toby Gerhart
CJ Spiller
Ryan Mathews
Rashard Jennings
Frank Gore
Bishop Sankey
Stacy is really the only one out of that group that I'd consider taking ahead of my 2nd WR, but I don't think there's a chance in hell that he makes it back to me at the 3rd/4th rd turn. Especially with the number of Rams fans in the league.
I'm projecting 1 WR and Stacy to be gone when I pick at #3, and I have full intentions of taking my guy Dez back at that position.
couple quick questions:
where would you target Gordon, knowing that the round you draft him in = his keeper value for '15-'16 season?
what players would make you deviate from the '3 WRs in my first 5 picks' plan I laid out, if any?
so when do I reach for Gordon, with aspirations of him being a value keeper leading into next season?
Not gonna find out about the suspension before my draft tomorrow afternoon.
I was thinking I'd start looking at him in rd 8 - that would give me the time/picks to get all of my starters (except DST and K of course) and a couple good depth players at RB/WR, or even possibly TE (Gronk was a 5th rd keeper for me).
I wouldn't let it rule my draft... if there's no value in a specific round, go for it. Just remember, Justin Blackmon. He'd have to fall further for me... remember, he's not coming back to the same offense. I think people are a little too horny for him, IMO.
