Torrey Smith $9

1 QB / 2 RB / 2 WR / 1 TE / K / Def / 8 bench $115 budget

Looking at keeping the first 5 and dropping last two as Johnson should come cheaper even if I wanted to pick him up again this season. Thoughts?

Without knowing the size of your league and draft position, I agree with you. $30 is steep for CJ and $9 is probably too steep for the inconsistent Smith. I wouldn't normally advise keeping two QB, but Freeman for a buck is really good value in a spot where you don't want to spend anything. Leaves you with $70 to deal with for the draft, sounds good.

Freeman is great value and CJ2 or is it 1k is certainly not worth 30..i think you have pegged it right already....

Call me crazy but you'll probably still be able to get Freeman for $1. I don't think you'll be able to get Marshall for $14 though. Three experts at CBS have his value at $18, $19 and $21 for an average auction price of $19.33 (with a $100 budget). Since your budget is more, than his value will be more.

A healthy Richardson for $18 is tempting too. A typical first and second rounder for a total of $32 is dirt cheap.

TK, re-read your post. You can disregard by last post. I missed the part where you can keep 5.

I still might throw Freeman back even though it is $1. You never know which QB2 may become available dirt cheap (and projected higher than Freeman). And if you already have two QB taking up a roster spot, you could miss out.

I don't think he's that worried about a QB2, Joe. Matty Ice should be more than fine, and there's no dirt cheaper than $1... gambling on that happening for a better QB in the auction? why risk it, he has it now with no other option to make him question keeping a 2nd QB... now he doesn't have to even look that way and can concentrate elsewhere.

Its a nice thought Joe..but I'm with TKO on this one. Why bother?? I'd venture a guess that Freeman is probably the best $1 QB you could hope to get.

My gut was the same as yours on Freeman, but then I saw 8 bench spots. That may increase the importance of a QB2 since more teams will have 1?

Still though, he is the only question mark. I tend to agree with the others though. You may be able to find a safer/better QB2 for $1 and if not, I would also agree that you could re-acquire Freeman for the same price.
