Royals can beat you with small ball, long ball, or with its speed turn it into a track meet
True, but I'd like to go on record predicting that the Giants win the series.

The long ball is their big wild card. If it goes away then yeah, they're a lot more limited.Long ball? Least HRs in baseball this year, by a lot...only 95!
Yes they hit a couple this postseason but no. Speed and smallball yes. Long ball nope.

As I've already pointed out, the baseball gods see right through these shenanigans...
only thing i worry about in frisco is an earthquake. hello gods
7 HR's in 5 games is more than a few
You actually just said "frisco." The gods are no longer listening.

Classic short sample size. We'll see!
These two wild card teams seem to be evenly matched based on regular season stats:
2014______BA___OBP___SLG___ERA
Giants___.255___.311___.388___3.50
Royals___.263___.314___.376___3.51
I think if 23-year old Bumgarner beats 32-year old Shields in this first game, SF may win in five or six games. The reverse might also be said. It's really all about who shows up. Should be a great series.
Shields had a 5.63 ERA in the postseason, giving up 10 R in 16 innings; 14-8 and 3.21 ERA in the regular season. Bumgarner was 2-1, 1.42 ERA in the postseason; 18-10, 2.98 in the regular season. Shields was 3.51 in home games. Bumgarner, 2.22 in away games.
my poor government training
Seems legit. Dont worry, if you make the playoffs next year, no one will root for you
