Did you consider the Royals first run in Game 3 "ugly" or lucky? Or was that GREAT small-ball?

I personally thought that both runs were things of beauty, and is why I LOVE NL ball.

NL FTW

The Royals first run in Game 3 was because Escobar pasted a lead off double.

Giants didn't even get a fucking hit to get their run

It feels destined for 7 now, with Bumgarner winning tomorrow, Peavy getting smashed in Game 6, and a wild Game 7 with all hands on deck.

I think it goes 7 too, but baseball is so weird that it could be Bumgarner getting smoked and Peavy pitching a gem, who knows?

I doubt that though. I think Shields will pitch well tonight, he is a good pitcher, he's due for a good game. But I think Bum will be right there with him. I'm thinking like a 2-1 Giants win...

Because this is the last game in SF, and Bum is on the bump, this is a must win for the Giants. More so than for the Royals, at least.

Either way, I expect a hell of a game, and if the Giants lose, I will hopefully be able appreciate how good it is sometime in my lifetime (probably not, though).

Getting a run off of no hits is a beautiful thing.

If you don't see that, I don't know what to tell you.

How is that a beautiful thing.

That is called bad baseball and ugly baseball.

Difference of philosophy. You might call us Boche disciples. Pure, strategic baseball. If the NL ever gets the DH, I'll probably take a yr off. Not really, but it'd be tragic.

NL should definitely not get the DH. That's what makes baseball cool, having a WS where the rules change midway.

And small ball/strategic baseball isn't bad persay. I mean its how the Twins won for a few years(sadly they would just cower come playoff time though).

But you can't tell me that walk, wild pitch, walk, RBI FC groundout if "fun" to watch. That was one team playing sloppy and the other team not too sloppy.

I mean common is that really a selling point?

Now as brought up the Royals first run yesterday that is GOOD baseball. Escobar pasted a mistake then the next two batters did their jobs.

Bum K's the side. Shields is gonna have to be nearly perfect.

Yost is a clown starting all these lefties. Use Butler you fool. Get Dyson the hell out of the lineup.

Hey where is that Royals kcvet or whatever

You watching this? Giants not bunting in the exact same situation as the Royals in game 3.

You still think the bunt is the smart play?
