The Bears will surprise you this year. They could contend for a title if Trubisky figures it out. They addressed all of their weaknesses from last year except RT, and then brought in Mack to address what looked like their biggest weakness this year.

I agree but the surprise could be 7 wins. If Tribusky doenst figure it out it could be a long two years.

It was actually less than 2 first rounders since Oakland gave back a second. Oakland got fleeced for a generational player. I guarantee you those two first rounders won’t amount to the difference Mack would’ve made on their team.

Raiders got two 1st and a 3rd and gave up a 2nd. Those two first round picks will probably be in the top 15. Im not saying Mack is a bad player but is he enough to put the Bears in the playoffs in the next three years when Rodgers, Stafford, and KC aren't going anywhere?

Raiders did well. The Raiders were an average team with our without Mack. They realized this so they got the draft picks and will build. How are the Bears going to build?

The Raiders defense is bad. I don't see them having a winning record this year. I don't see the Bears having a winning record this year. I know you are excited as a Bear fan but to make a move like this and give up a contract like this to a non QB you have to be a team like the Rams with Donald. The Rams are in a bad division and are a playoff caliber team already plus added Suh. Yes they gived up the big contract but they didnt have to give up a draft capitol

In a last ditch "I'm Effing wit cha" post (see Kerrigan vs Mack convo) the people who actually put their money on the line (Vegas odds makers) have now adjusted the Bears odds to win a SB.

With the addition of Mack they (the Bears) have gone from 100-1 to 40-1. Clearly, they see in him what I do. No slight to RK, but this dude is exceptional. BTW: I would NOT have made the trade that the Bears did, I think that they could have gotten him for something less than what they gave up, but Kerrigan for Mack, no brainer! Again just Effing wit cha

I was expecting about a .500 season without Mack. A lot of it depended on how the offense came together. With Mack, I think they have a winning season. That defense will be dangerous. It was good last year and then it added Roquan Smith who looks like the real deal and Khalil Mack who is the real deal.
