Yes the deals contains two first-round picks and a few other pieces. To much. That's a lot of money to take on salary cap wise. The Bears could afford to do this deal b/c they had the salary cap space. Maybe we should look at Thomas instead.

Whatever the case may be, we now have to deal with him in the NFC.

giving up 2 first round picks and more for a non QB is always risky. Even if he Bears win 7 they are still top 15 picks. Good move for Oakland. Even with Mack the Bears will still be a 6-8 win team.

Its very possible that the Raiders have two top 10 picks in 2019 and 2020.

giving up 2 1st round picks for a player is risky . giving up 2 1st rounders for possible one year rental isnt smart

Slight difference between mack and rg3.

Our last 3 first round picks are doctson, allen, and payne. Hell id give up all 3 for mack.

That was a steal for chicago.

Steal? Oakland fleeced them.

The Bears will surprise you this year. They could contend for a title if Trubisky figures it out. They addressed all of their weaknesses from last year except RT, and then brought in Mack to address what looked like their biggest weakness this year.

It was actually less than 2 first rounders since Oakland gave back a second. Oakland got fleeced for a generational player. I guarantee you those two first rounders won’t amount to the difference Mack would’ve made on their team.

Is it for that cap number ? And no picks to build with ?

The Chicago Bears reached a record-setting six-year, $141 million extension with Khalil Mack on Saturday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, after acquiring the pass-rusher from the Oakland Raiders earlier in the day.

Mack becomes the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history. The deal, which averages $23.5 million per season, includes $90 million in guaranteed money and $60 million at signing, a source told ESPN.

The Bears gave up first-round picks in 2019 and 2020, a third-round pick in 2020 and a sixth-round pick in 2019 to acquire Mack earlier Saturday, a source told ESPN. In return, the Bears also received s a second-round pick in 2020 and a conditional fifth-round pick in 2020.
