I have to go with RG3. Kaepernick has proven himself to be mentally fragile.
Kaep is much more physically gifted than RG3, however, I would be willing to bet RG3 has a higher ability to mentally process the game. That, and as previous posters alluded to, it doesn't appear that Kaep is exactly "mentally tough". I would have to go with RG3.
I agree that Kap seems to be more shaken by pressure. But I swear it looks like RG3 wants to take monster hits every play. It's up to Kap whether he wants to put the necessary work in, but he has the better team and coaches to help him get through whatever issues he goes through. RG3 may not even have a chance to do that.

Absurd. The only edge he has physically is that he is bigger. RG3 is faster, more athletic, a much better thrower...
Kaep is quite a bit larger than Buckwheat and can take more punishment. Your boy won't even be in the league in 2 more years.
Kap doesn't take hits like RG3 does. Not even close. He's much more cautious, both with his body and the ball.
I'd take RG3, I feel when he's healthy he's a better passer and more accurate than Kaep
the question is who has the higher ceiling. Not how long they will last.
to me its simple. RGIII has the higher ceiling. They both can run, but RGIII to me is the more intelligent QB, & better Passer. Whether one of them get a career ending injury some time soon is irrelevant to the question. The higher ceiling goes to RGIII hands down. (& no I am not a fan of his!)
I guess to me that includes being able to protect yourself and the ball.
But I agree that pound for pound Griffin is the better passer.
He needs to work on protecting himself and the ball, this I agree with, but he has two starting caliber players on his offense to work with. I honestly don't think anyone outside griffin, Garcon, and Morris would see the field on most teams in the league. When you have no help, you have to take more risks to give your team any shot whatsoever. Some is on him, but a lot isn't.
