Its been proven he cant be a RT. A position switch in the first week of camp. You guys said he was a tackle, he is not. Moses actually beat him out. The only way its the right call is if he becomes a all pro this year or next at OG. Lets hope he is as good as Zack Martin. That is the only way the pick can be justified.

LOL. So I guess that basically every top 10 draft pick that was worthwhile made the probowl in his 1st on 2nd year. Your reply is ridiculous and also shows again that you pretty much don't agree with a patient approach. Rather - let's just fix everything in one season or two seasons tops. Well - I am guessing that you may not be thrilled with SM since his approach will probably take some time.

I will believe you and a few others will stop dogging the pick when I see pigs fly. And as for needing another pass rusher, going into the draft I think it was safe to say we actually needed O-line help a tad bit more. But honestly I would have gone with them taking Williams had they abandoned the RG3 experiment. But if we were dead set on sticking with Bob, then need #1,2 and 3 were O-line and more O-line actually.

I hope that people stop dogging picks when we see progress in certain areas & people need stop putting so much freaking stock in the results of preseason games & on the play of certain players in their 1st or 2nd year. Let's wait until at least midyear before being so judgmental. Even w/ the QB position I have faith that certain players will play or sit on the bench based on their play. That situation will play itself out.

Yep - just completely ignore the other acquisitions that the Redskins made both on D-line and in the LB area. I think that there is a very good chance that this front 7 will be very, very good, and they can actually afford to lose Hatcher w/i the next few years & not really skip a beat.

Your approach is very Snyderesque. Simply focus on a some big names & basically ignore other areas of the team. You (and some other folks here) appear to have very little patience. You want everything fixed in one or two seasons - again very Snyderesque. HTTR

So taking the best player (again IMO) instead of filling a need is now Snyderesque? Again they acquired defensive lineman but last time I checked nobody is confusing any of them with Jason Pierre Paul. They had a chance to grab a young stud defensive lineman, a real game changer, and they passed to fill a hole. On top of this he actually does fill a need if you look beyond September and I'd like to think my team is thinking beyond September.

To be clear I said I would stop dogging Bradon Scherff, I never said I would stop dogging the idea of passing on a better player (IMO) to fill a need. I am accused of being short sighted when my approach is the exact opposite of being impatient. Filling a need now is impatient, taking the best player long term is the opposite of that.

But again I agree that 2 preseason games is not time to draw conclusions, I've said that a number of times.

As for Griffin are we really making a big deal about him running for a first down on 3rd and short in the first game?

A big deal? No, not at all. It just speaks IMO to what he is and always will be (an option QB) not what he wishes he could become (a pocket passing QB)

Its one thing for example to turn a 43 DE into a 34 OLB coming out of college. Its another trying to turn a read option QB who has one passing read when he keeps the ball and if its not there. He keeps the ball and runs. Into a drop back, stand in the pocket, go though what may be as many as 4 progressions QB two years into his NFL career.
