New facilities would prob go a long way.
USC has good facilities. Nobody has a clue as to who will be coaching at SC after next season.New facilities would prob go a long way.

USC's facilities aren't on par with Oregon and Oregon's are second to none but they're usually ranked in the top 20 on most ranking list. With that said Helton is dead man walking. Next season will be his last. But are their facilities on par or better than it's blueblood peers? especially in the southeast?
I don't think they are and I guess that's partially on Helton but its more on a lack of support from USC leadership (above him) or lack thereof.

Helton has a fat ass buyout that drops significantly after this next season. USC has been spending money on admission scandals, the medical school scandal, previous HC buyouts, etc ... After this next season Bohn will hire a new HC .. maybe Luke Fickel.I wouldn't count on that, for one, who they gonna get?
If the new AD had "his guy" in mind then Helton would be gone already. JMO but I think Bohn will try and surround/support Helton with better recruiters/facilities first, wait a couple years then make his evaluation on Helton. We'll see

It looks like the USC administration is taking a page out of the Miami playbook.
Just don't give a shit.
Good times
Correct me if I'm wrong but it comes down to money (buyout) in regards to keeping Helton on for another year. Now, Now... DON'T be like that!!!We're NOT that bad... well, not yet, anyway.

Sure, it ALWAYS "comes down to money" no matter what the issue is these days. AND I'd agree that that was "part" of the reasons for the decision to keep Helton for one more year.Correct me if I'm wrong but it comes down to money (buyout) in regards to keeping Helton on for another year.
^^NEW facilities are the least of their problems right now. USC opened their new football facilities ($70M) in 2012. It's a pretty nice setup.

Kind of hard to build billion dollar facilities when USC is essentially the only P5 that is within walking difference of a dangerous inner city.
