1. It’s not tough to turn things around in the PAC and Helton didn’t lose the team. They very well could be successful next year and right the ship.

Imo, the bold is also a big reason why he still has a job. They may not have always played well (or smart), but they always played hard and never quit. The kids love the guy.

I just looked at USC's class. 9 of 11 are OLs (6) and DTs (3). While it may be a poorly ranked class, they are putting stock in the trenches. This has Graham Harrell written all over it...wants lots of QB protectors.

I'm betting he thinks they can find some speedy little Wes Welker/Danny Amendola types to help out the receiving core. But, that doesn't do anything regarding the need for damn good DBs.

Yeah, while the ranking isn't good, at least they addressed what has been a weak spot for the past few seasons.

Amen, they've poached a bunch of really talented kids out of Texas in the last decade. The kids specifically cited the education they will receive as being the deciding factor with the parents pushing them to go there. If a kid just wanted to go out of state to increase their chances at the NFL because Texas programs are dumpster fires...Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio St, Clemson, LSU, Georgia, etc would be getting all those kids.

Whatever these supposed "disadvantages" are have been completely nullified by dangling a Stanford degree in front of these kids. It's as if these Stanford sympathizers aren't aware of the fact that there are actually outstanding football players out there who are also exemplary students, and education matters to them.

Thinking USC's biggest problems are administrative with the whole allowing of celebrities to get their kids into school with rowing scholarships if they donate a couple million to the coffers.
