Last year, the Giants' offense went in the tank without Herk. We are already in the tank, and we lose Herk again. At least the pitching has been stellar this year.

We can't expect the pitching to continue its dominance. And now the likelihood of the offense turning around has dropped.

This is still a solid team. But losing Herk is big hit. And I would not be surprised if it turns out to be season-ending. It looked that bad, and all the comments I am hearing do not make me think otherwise.
