I’ve been saying the coaching sucks ass for years, but people just get mad at me.

One other thing

I’m very impressed with that Oakland team and especially their front office.

I wish we could trade front offices and see what they could come up with.

Oakland has to overcome probably the worst ballpark I’ve ever seen, an almost non existent budget, hardly any fans, and yet.... they’re 16 games over .500 and solidly in the playoff race.

Both Bay Area teams are very good at developing pitching..... something we don’t seem to be capable of doing.

It’s depressing to be a ranger fan right now. This team really stinks and I don’t know if the trade deadline will be fun. I still expect at least one trade, but everyone whose on the block has played like dog shit.

Swung at 3 pitches all off the plate, had no chance vs Familia. Joey is HR or nothing, he's not an MLB caliber hitter and not sure he will ever be. He is so enamored with himself and how far he can hit a mistake, that he won't even attempt to change his approach.

And the HR was a pitch right down the middle. You could kind of see that coming when he grooved it.

From what I saw, he didn’t deserve to lose his spot in the rotation.

Even our better trade prospects are going South. Hard for any of them to stand out the way the team plays as a whole. Not sure now how long before we see contention again. Every day seems to get worse.

I guess you could say that what is good for one player should have been good for another. Why single out DDJ in a rebuild year? While his defense and speed have been productive his offense is terrible. With that speed he needs to lay off the high pitches. He either misses them or hits the ball in the air which is the last thing you want from a guy with his kind of speed. And the article is right that with some of the players coming up thru the minors Tocci's time will be short lived.
