Self-proclaimed Asshole
I’m so glad I don’t have time to follow the rangers this year. It makes reading these posts almost humorous.

No offense, but that’s bullshit.
I know that the team sucks, but you still gotta at least make it look like you’re trying.
Any coaching staff worth their salt would not pitch to a guy like Davis with the game on the line, who has done what he has to the rangers pitching staff.
He DESTROYs ranger pitching.
He has 25 of his 172 home runs against us. We’ve almost single handedly made him an all star.
Bad precedent to fire sale guys like Hamels for nothing. Let’s move him but at least don’t be a pushover.
I wouldn't call it a great second half.So yeah I got pushback from this board re Gallo early last year and he had a great second half. Same pushback with Odor and look what he is doing.
I wouldn't call it a great second half.
Let's also not let him walk for zero return.
He's batted under 200 all year and is going to lead the league strikeouts. But your ok with that. Yes I would send him down and see if he can turn it around like Odor did 2 years ago. He hasn't shown any signs of improvement this year. In fact he has regressed. His ending OPS of 869 made him 2nd highest on team behind Beltre after dismal start so it was a great rebound.
I would have to research what hus OPS was 2nd half alone.
And you and a few are ready to dump him in AAA?
I would not call that a great move sir
I blame Wash for losing that higher draft pick. He couldn't even quit right.Definitely a difference of opinion of what is important this season. Bet we wish Bogar made development a priority in the lost season before his last run. We lost a star shortstop because of that.
Not saying we intentionally tank. Just let our young guys develop vs overplaying better expiring pieces to squeak out an extra win.
Not sure you or some other guys on this board understand this.
Exactly what I was saying. I would rather keep Hamels than just give him away at a deep discount
It is not always as difficult as some amateur GMs make it out to be either.Bad precedent to fire sale guys like Hamels for nothing. Let’s move him but at least don’t be a pushover.
Sets you up to be a bad trader next time. Always look a move ahead.
It is not as easy as we amateur GMS think.

You want to pay him $22m next year?

And he is batting 190, only Chris Davis is worse in the AL.He needs to improve in that area obviously and guys like Stanton and Judge are not far off
I am not good with a lot of strikeouts but most power hitters struggle with this. He has walked all games since break and seeing more pitches. Nothing he can work on down there via up here this season. He brings a lot more to the table than DDJ
You guys seem to be completely misunderstanding each other. lolYou want to pay him $22m next year?
It is just as much of an opinion to say it is difficult as it is to say it is easy. If one opinion can be said to be an amateur GM opinion then the other can be as well. Why would you say that?
