Ok, obviously you are asking the wrong person right now, cause I love the whole NESN panel. I love all of their personalities on air. When I listen to many other teams' networks, they are so god damn boring.

yikes man.. we have very differeing opinions.. those 2 might not be the worst in the league (sorry i'm not sorry pens fans).. but they are probably 2nd worst in my book.. only color guy i hate more than brinkley is laughlin in washington, and i spelled out how much i hate errey in a different thread, but those 2 make me cringe when i hear their voices..

i like the majority of the bruins (save for marchand).. but their broadcast crew.. ick..

and i actually love Doc.. i think he makes the games more exciting just by announcing them

I can assure you, whether you agree or not, that if the whole NESN crew was located in Philly, you would love them. Their chemistry is awesome, and they just put life into the commentary.

you can say that if you'd like.. but to be honest i dont think the philly crew is anything special either.. coatsey is an idiot, jim jackson is just a standard pxp guy and i dont think bill clement is anything special.. they dont annoy me, but they dont make the game more entertaining

to be honest i dont notice a 'good' color guy very often.. the sharks dude was pretty hilarious when the flyers and sharks played last year.. just kept yelling 'POWE!' at random instances, i thought that was funny haha.. but that was one game.. and actually i think eddie olzyck does a good job too


edit: and you will never be able to convince that i would EVER like a boston accent.. i'd rather hear rebecca black 'sing' the whole game then listen to a boston accent

My only comment is, I like our guys PBP and color also intermission is that if the Sabres are playing like shit they will say they are.

I try and be as objective as possible but sometimes Ray and Robie rip the shit out of the team even when I think they are not playing that bad. They show the screw ups.

RJ and Neale during the game will often say "Oh the Sabres got away with one there" and things like that.

I have heard a lot of crews in the league that I like because they call the game and analyze it fair but some frankly are just fucking pathetic homers.

I can handle the truth and don't need an announcing team to bullshit me that the team is playing good or getting boned by the officials.

Some teams I have heard EVERY fucking time there is a penalty called against "their" team say..."I don't know about that call" Grow a pair for Christs sakes. All teams fuck up.

True, Obviously the teams PBP announcer is going to put more into a home team goal than the "other" team. Just call the game straight that's not asking too much.

yup.. and i'm ok with color guys being a little more homer-ish, but if you're going to be a homer at least be smart about it.. if there's a good body check, dont say it should've been a penalty just cause it would be better for your team.. or if the ref blows a call in your favor, dont say its a good call.. stuff like that drives me crazy
