Giants re-signed DE Jason Pierre-Paul to a four-year contract.
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the deal is worth $17 million annually and includes $54 million in guaranteed money. The Giants placed the franchise tag on JPP last month to give them more time to hammer out a long-term deal and now the sides are putting pen to paper. Pierre-Paul was having a resurgent 2016 campaign before a hernia injury cut his season short. It feels like JPP has been around forever but he's still just 28. Inking Pierre-Paul long-term will reduce his cap hit, which could enable the Giants to bring back DT Johnathan Hankins.
