lines of cocaine everywhere are very very worried

As someone who has had some struggles with alcohol (minor compared to him), I would think it could be very difficult for him once baseball is out of his life. It's given him a clear reason to stay sober, and also given him a distraction. A lot professional athletes go into depression after their careers end, because their sport has been their entire life's work and their main purpose. Now all of the sudden, they have more than half of their life in front of them and they have no idea what to do.

For someone like Hamilton, that is a very, very dangerous situation.

While he has been with the rangers he's been subject to weekly drug tests. He has however relapsed with alcohol on a couple of occasions while with Texas. Don't believe he was subject to regular drug testing with the Angels and even admitted to an incident of cocaine relapse while during the offseason. I fear for this man when he leaves baseball behind.

Maybe not the biggest waste of talent in Baseball history, but if not, it's close.
