Because 27 is still relatively young for a baseball player anyway and coupled with the fact that it is his first year.
Would it make you feel better if I just flat out said he is just as good of a hitter as Trout?
But he isn't. This is Trout's third season at age 23 and he is about to finish in the Top 2 of MVP voting for the 3rd straight season(with this year being a win).
Abreu is good, very good but he is already in his prime. Trout is still about 4 seasons from his prime. Which is quite literally fucking scary.
