I thought that Davis played really well in the first half. He needed more help in the second half from his o-line, receivers and play callers, however. Still, have to give credit to SF for making life tough in the second half.

Davis is young and will make mistakes but he has an excellent upside.

Ya, I don't take anything away from SF defense they are probably the best in the league right now.

The Rams have brighter days ahead. I know because I'm a Cowboys fan.

Wow for a second there I thought I was on the general boards here jaco...

2 games lost out of our 4 losses coming from a pick 6 to basically end the game after a chance to tie or go ahead at games end by the young lad.

He's a gun slinger with a gun slinger's mentality. It's who we Ram fans wanted running the show. So when we lose games on pick 6's we can't go and start blaming everyone else.

I like that he recognized that he needs to work on stepping up in the pocket. They call it a pocket for a reason and trying to scramble out of it early, like he tends to do, can yield some sacks.

Vit the only reason why we were in those two games is because of him. yes he threw a couple of bad passes. but it's hardly the reason why we lost those games.
Remind me when we lose games from a pick 6...

I agree there are things he needs to work on but this kid has some real talent.

Davis has been nothing but positive for the Rams. Yeah he had a pick 6 in the 49er game but it was already over. We had no chance of making a comeback with the way everything was going.

Sadly... we've all heard this tune before. :sigh:

well i think it's safe to say that Long isn't 100%. Before he was injured last year he was a top 5 LT (PFF) this year he's had his ups and downs.
Also now that we have Robinson in at LG and Saffold at RG we should see a boost in OLine play in the next game or two.

Problem is even if we bench Long and put Saffold back over to the LT, who do we put in to replace Saffold? Joesph? That puts us right back to square one.

I blame this problem purely on the coaching staff. Rather than just putting Robinson at LG all preseason and training camp they put his head on a swivel and made him play two positions....Talk about a dumb move. If Long wasn't going to be ready for the regular season we could have just thrown Saffold over to LT and had Joseph playing anyways. I just dno't get it. :noidea:

As far as center goes...Why isn't Barnes getting the nod? Is Wells really better? If he is then why hang on to Barnes? another thing I just do not get. :yahoo:

It is too much to ask for Gruden to be the coach, Kroenke wouldn't open his wallet with all the cobwebs on it.

Well.......Fisher is one of the highest paid coaches in the league right now. Stan isn't afraid to spend money. I don't mind Stan, he's better than the bitch we had before.

I think this is a falsity just as much as it is to blame the QB when they lose or give them all the praise when they win. The offense failed miserably in the second half of the Niners game and considerably in the second half of the Cowboys game.

Davis is fortunate that this specific WR corp has had a chance to developed and unfortunately this is one of the better offensive lines we've had in several years (As bad as they are) The defense held SF to 10 points in our last contest in the first half and then 14 points in the second half however the offense absolutely failed to move the ball more than 40 yards total in the second half. Davis is part of that group who was dismal in the second half. Had we just gained 100 more yards and 7 points in the second half than the thirty something and 3 points that we did, SF maybe only scores only 10 instead of 14 and with out the pick we win 21-20.

I like this kid and I want him to finish the season to see what we have however I think we are paying some dues with him at the helm at this point but that said we can't make excuses for him. I don't think Hill throws those either of those pick sixes in those contests and I don't know if Hill was in there if we would be in the game or not but neither does anyone else.

Those are going to be growing pains going with a QB like Davis who has no real Pro QB experience prior to his starts this year. Jacob, I'm willing to take the bad with the good in Davis but I'm not willing to blame everyone else in the process.
