Yep. Apparently Elway & Fox couldn't agree on which direction to take the team. Although I laughed @ Elway's press conference the other day when he said..."I'd like to thank John Elway".

Actually not imo...the low ceiling part about Fox is real. The window is closing on Manning for certain and to some degree the Broncos overall...to not at least get back to the AFCC gm was a sizeable step backwards.

I like the hire a lot. the main reason is that he has experience and will put a good staff around him on both sides of the ball. this is something the bears haven't had in a very long time

I think this comment is more based in your hatred for the Broncos than in your actual thoughts of this being a stupid decision. Fox was having issues with lots of things within the organization. As new information keeps coming out he was not seeing eye to eye with his coordinators, players, or the FO so if that is the case then why keep a guy like that?

Next as others have said Fox is a great stepping stone coach. He can help right the ship of an organization that is failing. He has done it twice now. The issue becomes of is he a good enough coach to win you a championship? This has been the question among Bronco fans since he got here and for the most part we all agreed that he just isn't that type of coach.

I'd think that this is likely - especially with Manning showing signs of wear and tear.
If Manning comes back he is going to look great at the beginning of the season and look even more worn down at the end.....

Regardless of that game, every big game since Fox took over the Broncos came out flat as a pancake. It got embarrassing to watch at times because of how unprepared the team looked.
