I'm not a big fan of comparing conferences or cheering for conferences. I don't believe in the "Team SEC", "Team B10" mentality. I hope every team in the B10 loses except Michigan every week. The only time I root for a B10 team is if they are playing Ohio State (or if a loss helps Michigan).

I'm simply pointing out that the SEC has plenty of warts, and one half of it's conference is a joke and has been a joke for quite a while. (well, ever since Urban Meyer left)

Don't really give a fuck about the SEC. I didn't make the OP or the rankings, but they are stupid and it was the Big10 fans in this thread who started talking about how great it was and how only dumb people would think otherwise etc.

The standard was created by the SEC in the mid to late 2000’s, bitched about since then by every other conference, adopted by every other conference while still bitching about it.

I'm a bit slow, I'm not following you there.

It's college football, everyone has holes and such. You can take just about any team and tear them all down and shit on them in some way or another if you choose to do so.

However, when you start to try and put others in front of them, then you either ignore the holes in them, or you won't be able to find better.

There are no perfect teams. So if yes, you can point out the "warts" in the SEC as you called it, but you aren't going to find another conference with less of them.

Dude, that's a great question. I am not sure what crawled up his ass this offseason, but it's too bad. For a dude whose team just won the title you'd think he wouldn't be so pissy.

It's hard to argue against the SEC, and their success as a conference, but they have made it MUCH easier to argue they are not the top conference the past few season. It's been Alabama (AMAZING run they've had), and a bunch of inconsistent teams. UGA may change that narrative this year (may, they should change that narrative). I think the ACC and B10 are pretty loaded, and likely have at least caught them or possibly surpassed them from top to bottom.

I live in SEC country now, and it amazes me how the people down here view the SEC has the premiere conference every season, while all other conferences are inferior. So many who are fans of other SEC teams brag about Alabama. I just don't understand that....although maybe I would if the B10 could win a championship more than once a decade. (no, I still wouldn't)
