Is it safe to say that he's the best 49ers HC since Bill Walsh? Taking a team from decade long mediocrity to being the best team in the league in less than two years is nothing short of amazing.

Amen brotha! After years of bad play and coaching it's nice to see. Harbaugh is simply one of the guys and really close to the players. I love it! One of my favorite coaches! I never really gave credit to coaching until now. The whole coaching staff is great. All the coaches and players have bought in. Loving it right now!

Definitely.

For a while there I forgot what good coaching was. Im embarrased that at one point I was bragging about Mike Singletary.

I don't even think it's about being close to the players. Mike Singletary was close to the players. He's just a great gameplanner. Our players are consistently in the right places to make plays and he knows exactly how to get the most of his players on the field.

yes, no doubt. as we all know now, the 49er offense was sort of set-up for Harbaugh's style of power running. also, no one wanted Alex Smith but Harbaugh, that didn't go well at the time.

along these lines, good job by Baalke and even Jed York. wasn't too long ago "York" was a swear word around here, so give Jed credit for taking all the heat from years gone by, and for securing Harbaugh. give Jed credit for selecting Baalke granted the method might've been a 'farce'?

Baalke brought in talent via the draft and free agency. it IS a little early to determine just how good he is in drafting, but so far so good.

I'll give to concede that I wasn't confident in Baalke, but he's done well so far. He's earned the benefit of the doubt, IMO.

Safe to say we have the best team from management all the way down? Drafting has gotten better, contracts, coaching and player performance as well.

Just need that ring.

it appears the window is opening this season? meaning we're not just a good team, but a legit SB contender.

the 49ers will have to secure that trophy before salary demands take off. next year isn't a big problem but the year after it'll start.

Get us two rings, and then yes. Granted, Montana and Young are kind of upgrades at QB compared to A. Smith.

This I wholeheartedly agree with.

Jed's primary focus when he took over the team was securing the new stadium, Both the scouting and hiring of Harbaugh was all Baalke.

Baalke has been one of the better GM's in the league since taking over the position two years ago - so while we may not know what he will do in the future his current performance has been very good and it ISN'T too early to say that!

What is this "farce" you are talking about?

Harbaugh on Alex:

''He's as tough as a $2 steak,'' 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said. ''I grew up eating a lot of them. I know what I'm talking about.''

Classic. Haha.

I thought it was safe to say he was the best Head Coach the Niners have had since Walsh the moment he was hired. That limb certainly didn't snap.

Harbaugh is doing an amazing job. As you said he puts the players in a position to succeed, I don't know if you meant Alex with that but he is the first one that comes to mind for me as a guy who has been set up for success rather than failure by the 49ers coaching staff.

What impresses me most about Harbaugh (and staff) is how they excel at maximizing their exploitations of another team's weaknesses.

Also love the creative ways they run the ball and I'm surprised that no other teams have adopted some of those plays.

Harbaugh is the man but I also give a lot of credit to Roman and Fangio. They are by far the best OC and DC I can recall us having in a long time. Credit also to Baalke for not being a complete fuck up.
