Well there is no definitive or clear casual link.

I have to think the NFL owners might not be happy with Jeff Miller's statement. While JJ likes to shoot his mouth off, I have a feeling that he did so in this instance with the backing of other owners.

Did you see the report ESPN just published? You may rethink your opinion after reading it? I think Jerrha might as well? Sorry I`m unable to post the link but it's on ESPNs homepage.

ESPN is full if shit. Always has been.

The science doesn't say there is a link to football. Could there be? Maybe, but right now the science isn't there yet. Anyone claiming otherwise is wrong.

The research definitely needs to continue & more funds need to poured into it. It's not just about athletes, but about members of our armed forces as well.

Congress to NFL: Explain actions on research

"Four members of Congress have asked the NFL for documents and information about why it tried to intervene in the selection of a Boston University researcher to lead a major study on football and brain disease, according to a letter obtained by Outside the Lines."

While the research does need to continue, what science are you saying isn't there? That football has more concussions than the general public (the NFL actually did have a study that said that which they've retracted since with their own new studies)? Or that bruising your brain is not good for your health (NFL had a study years ago that also said concussions had no long lasting effects but since retracted that as well)?

On the NFL maybe not having a higher rate... Figure the NFL reported 182 concussions last year that occurred during games in the regular season. Meaning from snap to whistle for every 5 man hours of play there is a concussion.

The NFL's studies are incomplete sure. But I don't need Marlboro to finish it's study on lung cancer if everyone else is putting out their own. It's not like the league is the only one studying trauma to the brain and it's effects. Countries around the world have been studying this for years.

That 45 of the 46 players brains that have been donated for study have been found to have CTE?

Denmark just finished a study that found that based on 120,000 patients over a quarter of a century with head trauma (including concussions), patients were 65% more likely to suffer psychiatric illnesses.

The study in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise that found that athletes who admitted to having 3+ concussions were over 300% more likely to suffer from clinical depression as those that hadn't had a known concussion?

The study in the Journal of Neuroscience that shows that those people with multiple concussions are 5 times more likely to develop cognitive impairment than the rest of the population?

The studies that prisons have done finding that those with head trauma are 7 times more likely to be incarcerated at some point in their lives than those without?

The findings of Dr Jordan and Dr Bailes at the American Academy of Neurology annual meeting.

The UNC study that showed repeat concussions lead to slower recovery of neurological functioning.

The study done in Neurosurgery concluding that the onset of dementia related syndromes are higher in those people with concussions?

The NFL FUNDED study that found that NFL players are 19 times more likely to get dementia than the average public?

As NFL Spokesman Greg Aiello said over 6 years ago... "“it’s quite obvious from the medical research that’s been done that concussions can lead to long-term problems.”

And now they are backtracking, what a bunch of a-holes. it's pretty evident that contact sports like football lead to more problems, you don't need a study to know that

Basically what Jerry Jones is say, is this.........

Put a football helmet on your head. Allow me to take a 15 lb. mini-sledge hammer and hit you in the head 200 times a month (50 times a week) for 7 straight months every year for 10 years.

Let's wait 20 years and see what happens before we make any rash decisions.

You left off and we'll push off our payments to the affected players until long after I'm dead...

He suffers from CTE

No he doesn't, he is completely normal! He is 100% sane! How dare you insult the most normal human being in the world!
