> “Flo still taking shots at Jerome. Hey Flo. Try on some reporter shoes and make some calls to Cincy. You’ll find out the house belonged to Simpson granted, and he is responsible for what goes on in his house. But his Brother (whose the main resident of the house) is the suspect.
> It’s likely Simpson will be in some trouble because you can’t have stuff like that go on in the home you own, but ask yourself. When is the last time someone has been found with 8.5 pounds of weed and not been arrested? That should hint to you that there is something more to the story.
> Anyway, If Cali investors find out it’s the Bengals and Mike Brown coming to town, look for them to head for the hills and the whole stadium project to crumble.”

How much time does he spend in a California home when he's in Cincinnati and on the road?

Does make me feel better that he's not a mafia wanna be.

To be clear - The pot was found in a Kentucky home. It was shipped from California.

Whether it was his or his brother's it doesn't matter..... It's Jerome's house and he'll be the one to take the fall. Besides, I'm sure he's doing his fair share of smoking and is most definitely profiting from the..... uhh.... business.

He may have smoked it, but it looks like his brother is taking the lion share of the blame. Perhaps to protect Jerome. Possibly not career ending now. Should impact his playing time, possibly some jail time. With that said, If we have the opportunity to sign a better WR in the future, we should take it. but if not, he's still serviceable.

The fact this team sucks and they still are going to play him makes me sick. We suck with or without him. Why not atleast pretend you give a shit about character and cut his ass. As it was stated by I believe Rey, years of sucking didn't get him cut so I guess why should this.

seems in these comments he is guilty as hell and there is no other way......interesting.... How do we know he hasnt been tested and passed??? If so he doesnt smoke...If its so open and close then why no charges for at least having it in his house???? If he wasnt the main resident but owned the place then I could see why Jerome would let the cops in if he didnt know.....So I ask all of you judges why isnt he locked up??? What could you say to FEDS that would make them leave the house and still over a week later not announce an arrest for charges????? It will surprise you what a family member will do to you behind your back...and you never know it......Ooops my bad you all have the best family members in the world who never fuck up.....LOL

On this boards it's guilty until proven innocent as it is with most Americans now days. I'm with you on this one JWill.

Well I want him cut because he sucks, so I could be biased. I give no player on this team the benefit of the doubt.

He hasn't been great and he has dropped some passes but he has also made some big plays. I wouldn't say he sucks, but he isn't one of the better #2 options out there.

There's no way he didn't know. Simply put, you can't have yourself in this kind of situation. Whether he passed a test or not, it was his home being used as a distribution center. Stupid.

Any other team in the NFL would have cut his ass that day. It's not always about guilt or innocence, but about who you surround yourself with and what kind of image you give off. When you are a member of an organization of the NFL and you are caught having 8.5lbs of weed at your house...you have to take responsibility for that...even if it's not yours. That is an issue.

Good thing for him, Brown is a "redeemer" and doesn't care about this clubs image. Any other team, he'd be gone.

I seem to remember Jerry Jones keeping some not so good people. Same with Baltimore and Pitt, Oakland. Plenty of teams keep players that get in trouble. Not as many as us but plenty.

He's most likely guilty of breaking the law technically, now, whether he did something wrong, like dirt bag wrong, besides that, is another story. I'll wait for the justice system to sort it out.

Keeping the occasional knuckle-head is one thing. Keeping a team full of them, and continuing to find them and employ them is quite another.

OK Id agree with cuting Benson, and even Jones. But this is the first time Simpson has done anything and we don't even know the facts. No team would cut him yet.

He isn't locked up, because they haven't filed formal charges yet. People don't file charges until they conclude their investigation and decide to file charges. Think back to the Big Ben r*pe case..... They didn't slap handcuffs on him the day the accusations surfaced. They waited until they could build a case - When the prosecutors decided a reasonable case couldn't be built (mostly because the woman didn't cooperate) they decided not to file charges.

In the case of Simpson - It doesn't matter when the charges are filed it just matters that they get it right. They are probably trying to establish to what degree the operation represented a distribution center and how big of an operation was being conducted. They are probably also trying to get all the other small fish to spill the beans. Jerome Simpson is a public figure - He's not going anywhere without being found. They'll file charges when they see fit.

As for Jerome's responsibility. If I allow my family to use my house for illegal activities, I carry the responsibility of their activities. Ask Michael Vick - It wasn't just his actions that got him thrown in the clink. He was ultimately held accountable for the entire operation - much of which was run when he wasn't around.

I just assumed he was guilty because he's black, J.

Kidding! Maybe.

The part of the story where the 8.5 lbs of drugs in his house supposedly belonged to somebody else was inevitable...

time will tell if it's true.
