It does look like 8-11 wins for the Rams this year which would be a huge step up. I feel like they are finally a top defense with a good running game. If they ever fix the passing game then they'll be a force.

I agree, they need a big fast WR. Maybe they can get one in the draft or by free agent. I still think if Gurley can stay healthy and continue to get better, then it will open up their passing game.

Like Dickerson and Steven Jackson, he has that powerful explosion at the point the hole opens and he is gone.

I like Gurley's running style better than Jackson's. Gurley doesn't seem to try and fake anyone out, when he finds a hole he runs straight to that hole. Dickerson was in a class by himself!!

Is the requirement for Bradford to be available for half the snaps, or to actually take half the snaps? Seems odd that the Rams would be penalized if Bradford gets benched, as I thought the potential draft pick was for health reasons.

I think you sort of answered your own question. My understanding is Sam needs to be healthy for half the snaps.

This is how it is worded.

The Eagles can also pick up a conditional pick in 2016 based on how many snaps Bradford takes. If Bradford plays less than 50 percent the Eagles will get a 4th-round pick, if he does not play at all it becomes a 3rd-rounder. If Bradford plays more than 50 percent of snaps the Eagles will not receive any additional compensation.

I take it that if he plays more than 8 games we keep our 4th rounder. Hurt or benched? It doesn't matter. If he starts this week and part of next week we keep our 4th rounder.

I grabbed this bit from Grantland:

"St. Louis has run only 10 play-action passes in the past four weeks after running 23 of them in Weeks 1 through 3. The difference is in how effective they’ve been. Before Gurley’s first start, the Rams had a 60.8 QBR on play-action throws. In Year 1 A.G. (After Gurley), it’s 94.4."

So it sounds like play actions are 50%+ more effective with Gurley and needed to be used 50%+ less which is good because the oline isnt one that should be running play action all of the time.
