My top 3 wish list for rd 1 would be Butler, Jones and Bullard right now. Depending on someone magically falling.

so true. If a freak falls to us (like darron lee or eli apple or something random) then i might take them but those are my guys right now

Chris Jones was taken by the Chiefs right before I picked. He was my top choice. After he went I traded back getting a couple of extra mid round picks to then start trading up for the guys I want in those mid rounds. My next favorite DL guy though is still on the board so just hoping the team in front of me doesn't take him.

He seems to be in the pile a lot so that means he is always around the ball .. Instincts must be rather good . He looks to be a worker bee type .

i still think ifedi could be awesome. long fast strong but rawwwww. he could come in and play guard year 1 and develop into an elite tackle (probably right, but maybe left even). And in a division with Mack and Houston, getting a strong tackle on both sides is important.

THOSE MOTHER FUCKERS

Well I got a nice consolation prize. I traded back getting some nice picks plus still got Vernon Butler after trading back! So I am pretty happy with how it all worked out. Yes sucks that the Chiefs would get Chris Jones but Butler can now be a nice headache for Alex Smith to deal with coming up the middle in his face.

the opposite of what happened in DCs draft. chiefs took butler round 1 and broncos traded back for chris jones

Chris Jones has more potential because he is just a more explosive athlete. but butler is bigger and longer. either one would give me a stark erection round 1

Wow that is kind of crazy. Yeah I like Jones a little more as I do think he has a level of explosiveness that is unmatched in this draft by other big men. Butler though gives Kollar and Wade a lot of versatility being able to play inside or outside and be a disruptive force. He won't be a 10 sack guy but he will be the guy that collapses the pocket making life much easier for our outside pass rushers. Plus I love with Butler that I think he is one of the better impact year 1 guys in this draft. He does a great job of using his hands to get leverage and keep guys off of him. I don't think he has as much to learn as some of the others.

if butler or jones (or darkhorse is billings) is gone round 1, i am all for going CB or Tackle or trading back. If we miss out on butler/jones, give me Kaufusi or Willie Henry (love his talent) round 2 or 3

I keep seeing Jones rising up draft boards so I am starting to doubt he would be there for us. Butler though I do think is a real option. He seems to be a somewhat overlooked player in this draft and not sure exactly why other than maybe because he comes from a non-power 5 conference.

Fill needs in FA and draft BPA. Denver has most needs filled except QB and S. 10 picks . Gotta think Denver may go big for QB even with Kap.

i would argue that RB and TE as well as interior oline are positions that still need to be addressed overall. We aren't going into next year with just CJ followed by hot mediocrity, we can't play kubiak offense with just green and heuererman, and who starts next year at guard? sambrailo and garcia? we need competition there

True but he does have the better production and great technique skills of the three. Plus I would say he has a lot better awareness than either of those guys. That is something that showed up a lot to me when watching his games is he always seemed to know where the ball was and could maneuver his guy so that he was in a position to make a play.

Well we are in the same boat on that. Jones has a much higher ceiling. His explosiveness to me could make him easily a 10 sack guy from the DE position. When you have that plus then Von Miller, Wolfe, Ware, Ray, and others all coming at you man QB's are going to hate to watch film knowing what they are going to be facing.

And don't forget Kollar. Kollar would WHIP that boy into shape. And with Ware Wolfe and Von on him? Jesus. Mo Wilkerson ability, or jared odrick

Beyond the signing of Wade Phillips Bill Kollar was a close 2nd to biggest moves we made this past off season. You could tell our DL was a completely different animal than what it has been in the past. Yes him paired with Jones and the other guys working with him why would we even need a QB when our defense will be holding teams to 0 points every game anyway?
