The Broncos have agreed to a 2-year deal with Jared Crick. No news on the details of the contract yet. Looks like a decent depth signing probably to replace the loss of Antonio Smith.

I would also point towards he is entering the prime of his career and is coming off two decent to very productive years with the Texans. He got better every year in the NFL and that is what Elway loves to do is find those guys that are just showing hints of coming into their own.

Lets hope it is a 3 or 4 year contract that grades him up each year to decent wages 4 or 5 mill the last two years he will probably earn it because I bet this year will be cheap .

The Crick deal is a 2-year deal. NO idea on numbers but probably a very team friendly deal with him hoping to showcase his skills and get a bigger contract down the road. I mean he will have a ton of one-on-one opportunities in Denver and pass rushing was his top skill in college.

that is the deal with QB's getting it from all direction he will probably luck into 6 or 7 sacks a season . So yes he should get paid ..

My god Jacksonville paid a lot for that 6 to 8 sacks pays damn good these days ..

Well we signed Crick for a 2-year/$4 million deal. Pretty much par for the course for Elway of letting expensive talent walk while signing a potentially good player for much much cheaper.

Well he has been a starter for all but 1 game over the past 2 years. He dealt with injuries his first 2 years in the league so looks like he was just starting to come into his own. Like I said this is a typical Elway move of seeing a guy that stats wise didn't produce big time over the full 4 years but that he showed some promise at the very end of his time with another team and is just entering his prime (only 26 years old). Adds to our rotation and while none of them might be Malik Jackson the nice thing is that with Anunike, Walker, Wolfe, Sly, Phil Taylor, Kilgo, and now Crick we at least have a lot of depth at the position and a lot of guys with a lot of starts.

Well I think you might like my Broncos pick in the Mock Draft. Haven't made it yet but I am up in 2 picks.

Right now I would be targeting 4 guys end of round 1.

1. Chris Jones
2. Vernon Butler
3. Germain Ifedi
4. Jonathan Bullard

Chris Jones was taken by the Chiefs right before I picked. He was my top choice. After he went I traded back getting a couple of extra mid round picks to then start trading up for the guys I want in those mid rounds. My next favorite DL guy though is still on the board so just hoping the team in front of me doesn't take him.

My top 3 wish list for rd 1 would be Butler, Jones and Bullard right now. Depending on someone magically falling.

Warming back up to Bullard? :)

I have loved Bullard for for a while (I know you are talking to Dr.). He has that fire that you just love to see on the field. I think defenses would just hate going against him every single play.

like him, esp explosion. he reminds me of wolfe. elite run defender who could develop into a great pass rusher. I do worry about size, but he has the length and strength necessary. He is 4th on my list tho for a reason ;)

I was razzing Doc. He and I have loved Bullard all year (dont call me a Gators homer) then he cooled on him a bit the last month or so.
