Plenty of 2nd rd talent that ends up starting. Reid, Rambo, Wagnor last yr...We just draft guys in the wrong spots. IDK...getting old for me.

I never expected a 2nd round pick to be an immediate difference maker. Collins in particular is a raw player.
The Patriots have been terrible in drafting DBs and WR. I do not think any Patriots fan will deny that. I find more front office fault in letting Welker and Lloyd get away.
It's fun to look back a year or two and see who we drafted, who was there to draft at that moment, and how the two compare today. Drafts are always a crap shoot none of us complain about taking Brady in the sixth. Sometime you hit others you miss.
There have been a few obvious ones - they took Ras-I Dowling with Jabal (sp?) Sheard still on the board, they took Jermaine Cunningham with Carlos Dunlap still on the board. Then again, a couple of those 'obvious mistakes' have worked out (e.g. All Pro OT Sebastian Vollmer), so...
It comes down to: they have a strategy. It drives fans insane, but it works. They stick to it.
I'll take my opinions elsewhere. I forget you can't criticize this team. IN BB YOU TRUST!!! Enjoy!
To compare BB draft picks too guys that have made an impact on there teams with success is unfair to BB. Nobody knew Carlos Dunlap Reid, Rambo, Wagnor would be starters. Its like playing Keno and saying after the winning numbers come out I should have played those numbers. Its not unfair to question BB why he drafted players like Tavon Wilson with a 2rd pick when on most draft boards has him in the 7rd.
Dunlap is another of the ones you can actually hold against him. Lots of people were saying Dunlap over Cunningham at the time. The last part is what frustrates us. That and continuous trading down while passing up on talent.
When you watch the draft and the Pats make their pick and the analysts just look at each other with as collective "who?" Then praise the genius.
18 undrafted players playing for us isn't good either.
