Kobe was a lot better than solid in his prime.

The issue for me is more do you want Kobe and MJ both in the starting 5?

Many others have better complimentary skills. Kobe and MJ are pretty similar.

I also don't disagree that Ayton is a better choice but you have the small issue that his team is still playing

I highly doubt if they make the finals he's trying to go from that to playing in the Olympics
Not sure if this has been addressed yet. But Ayton can't play for team USA because he's not an American citizen.

Are there better options than Love? Sure, possibly. But when healthy, he's not bad and he's got a crap ton of experience and has played in the olympics before. But when you really dissect it, you can't do much better than Love given his skillset and the position he plays.

I’m starting Durant at the 3.

Id have Kawhi on the team before Kobe.
